About the hidden heart of glue: when my kids were in HS marching band and I made their PBJs for snack, I drew a heart in the peanut butter with the knife. They never knew that the heart was in there until I told them years later. Of course I took a photo of the inside of the sandwich so I could scrapbook it!

I have the media mat's big brother: the Ken Oliver Best Ever Craft Mat. I’ve had it for 4-5 years & it’s fantastic. NOTHING moves on it, not paper or anything else. If you toss round objects like paint brushes on it they just sit there & this is true for those items that really like to roam around the craft room, read sequins & even beads. Great products.

I have a mat similar to that , it holds the ink pads, no need to buy all those ink pad stands that people are buying! And it works better, no rattling noise while your rubbing the brush on the pad

I watched TH live too and bought a mat. At first I put the SSS bundle in my cart (3 mats plus 3 SSS storage pockets) but then I realized that I don’t know if I like the mat so maybe I should find that out first. So I only bought one. I’m eager to try the mat with my gel printing set up. I put my gel plates on quilting rulers to help with alignment and the rulers slide on my table. Watching you make this shaker made me realize that I’ve yet to try cutting out the negative sentiments with a frame die. I have the bold sentiment die set and I love it. It’s great for cutting gel prints and other hand decorated paper. It’s wonderful that the dies always give 2-for-1 results because you get the letters plus the negative space sentiment as well.

I already ordered two mats. I make multiple size cards so I decided I needed more than one. I work mostly on a tray on my lap. I lose tiny dies all the time. I was going to get a magnet to put on my tray. when I saw this mat I figure it will work perfect to hold my dies. Really cute card.

You could cut a piece of the mat and place it between the glass mat and the tonic work area. Then it will grip that too.

I must try these type of shakers that sit ontop of the card panel! They look sooooo much faster and easier than the recessed ones! I’m going to have to do that soon! It’s just great! I love these colors! Are these from Simons paw inks from the first set? Being a dummy, I ordered the less pretty brown set and never use them! I like these colors! Now I’m not sure if I want to invest in another set if they are only going to have a very limited amount of colors. Just a great card!

Try a piece of media mat in your card base instead of tape to hold the front down to decorate your card front! P.S. I booped my dollop of sour cream onto my taco without even thinking then burst out laughing when I realized what I was doing!

Sorry to be a Negative Nancy, but this was the 1st Tim Holtz Live I turned off from both boredom & fury. Ok, maybe not "fury" as such, but it has made me think 'will we EVER just be happy with what we've got?' Where do we draw the line? When machines with mechanical hands decide what techniques to use, what colours to use, and where to place everything? I could go on, but like I said, I really am sorry to be a Negative Nancy. If it enhances your crafting experience, and brings you joy, then go for it :) I'd just rather spend those wigwams on a new ink colour, or die, or any number of other crafty crafty thangs. Sweet card CZ! Another lovely example of your beautiful, BEAUTIFUL style!

I tried it yesterday and it holds the paper more than the stencil. So the paper doesn't slip, but I ended up taping the stencil to it to secure it.

Apparently alcohol ink will stain it but other inks will probably be fine if you clean them off!

I think if you use another full sheet Tonic Media Grip under your Tonic Magnetic Crafter's Platform turned in a diamond shape that it will grip it to your glass media mat. Worth a try anyway. :)
