Creating a Tag Shaped Card | Terrific Tags with Michelle

Hey there, crafty friends! Do you like making shaped cards? Michelle Short here, dropping by to inspire you with a card making video tutorial on how to create a tag shaped card using the new Build-A-Flower Candystripe Cosmos Layering Stamp & Die Set.
I started off by stamping the Build-A-Flower Candystripe Cosmos uisng Cherry Blossom, Golden Sunset and Green Fields Crisp Dye Inks. I then made a tag shaped card using the Terrific Tags Die Set and the hinge method. The card was finished off by embellishing with Enamel Dots.

It's gorgeous Michelle! Such a lovely idea to have a card shaped as a tag. That set of pink inks is my favourite too, I love them! The layering colours you chose with the really dark final layer looks so beautiful! Great video as always, thank you for sharing.

Funny you should ask about shaped cards. I just made one today. I had recently purchased a nesting snowflake die set and took the largest snowflake and cut out a card base in cream. The nesting snowflakes are solid like a shadow with no details. Then I took several of the nesting dies and cut them out in different shades of blue from dark to light. The bottom snowflake was the darkest blue. I stenciled the two middle ones which were in between the dark and light blue with a flourish stencil in shades of blue slightly darker than the snowflake I was working on. I left the top solid snowflake plain and adhered a small silver snowflake in the center. It turned out really nice. My husband was impressed. Loved your tag and thanks for showing the easel tag for display. I'm going to try that on some different shapes. I love easel cards as people like to display them on their desks at work.

That is a great tip about lining the stamp up on top of the die, even if you stamp in a light to medium grey it gives a good idea
