Audio bugs at 14:32 for a couple seconds, no idea why. No dialogue was hurt in the process.

When extra space is needed: [Third Impact begins]

Thanks for labelling in and out connections in post :) it really helps beginners like me understand what is going on when building/changing junctions

FYI: there's a very close analogy between track junctions and Factorio belt balancers. A lot of the research can be easily mapped back and forth - for instance, the notion of throughput-unlimited balancers. Splitting every incoming lane into one lane for every outgoing lane works, but gets space-inefficient for larger junctions. You can do better by selectively merging beforehand.

When it comes to anything over 2 lanes, I do like to combine the split lanes into less than the amount of incoming/outgoing lanes, it does save a lot of space, especially if you know which directions trains are using the most. Factorio belts are an interesting analogy for sure, I was wondering how I could emulate them directly, like one network per resource, in the same way belts would usually have one or sometimes two resources. I guess this network is like a sushi belt, since all resources share the same rails, kinda weird to think about haha

have you considered an SC4 playthrough?

Maybe at some point, definitely my favorite city builder. Would have to get re-acquainted with it first though, haven't played in a long time

So how do you make those sliding shots? Don't tell me with arrow keys. But this episode gave me a great idea for a new vid, thx 😊
@ChuggersLR9 ай бұрын
I do use the arrow keys haha, its the only way I could figure to pan around while hiding the mouse. I know the C key can also pan around but you can't hide the cursor. Arrow key movement speed also scales with zoom, it works quite well for zoomed in scrolls.

@@ChuggersLR if I try that, it lags as hell, everything gets choppy.

@@Gil-games Have you tried setting "Smooth viewport scrolling" on in settings? Besides that I'm really not sure
