Adorable! I use double sided tape as well for my vellum pages. Here's a tip: if you want the vellum page to move freely, fold the page about 1/4 inch along the long side. Then place the tape on the outside of the tiny fold you've created. Then, when you press it into the crease of your bible, it will move freely (not stick to the side of the page it is taped to). Doing it this way sort of creates a hinge that allows it to move like a page in a book. I don't know if I have explained that very well, but it works for me!
@katiefaithjournaling Жыл бұрын
Thank you Kathy 🙂, I think I get your directions 😄. I probably would do that if I used regular double Sided tape. For some reason, the new tape I got is think enough that it just feels like an extra piece of paper in my Bible, which I thank the Lord for guiding me to. 🥰

I love that you included a prayer early into the tutorial. I've really been struggling with my journey. I know it can happen to anyone - but in the past - my dry spell only lasted a few weeks. This time it's been months and months - which leaves me tearful and devastated . I never knew Bible Journaling existed. The closest I have come to this - is sticky notes & images placed into my bibles. But I truly believe the Holy Spirit has guided me here. And diving into Bible Journaling is really going to help me walk out of this nightmare desert. Thank you so much for posting - especially for including your beautiful mini prayers. Now subscribed. Love & blessings to you from Lancashire, England (UK)

@@pennjeff6128 thank you for commenting. This is why God has lead me to do this, to encourage others and hopefully help others find a new love and joy to dive into God's word. I personally have been having a long dry spell as well besides my videos once a week. I want to do another 30 days of Journaling this Fall, it always cheers me up to really get back into it. Bible Journaling is what got me back into reading again and it's such an incredible thing that God gifted us with.🥰

I love this! I was convicted about this very thing a few years ago, as I love reading (these days I mostly just read Christian fiction because I have become so disgusted with themes always present in other fiction). I don’t always Bible journal, but I read my Bible daily. For the last several years, I use a Bible in a Year plan. Every year I switch up plans and translations. I also generally get a new Bible. It keeps it fresh for me. I love Bible journaling, but I’ve been focused more on decorative planning this year. I do use the very same faith planner you use, but I keep the decor minimal because I take notes on my daily Bible reading. I am a teacher, so I do my Bible study early in the morning when I first get to work. It takes about 20-30 minutes. I use the notes to try to do more thinking about my reading. This coming year I will be using a KJV Bible from my church organization that is set up in a yearly plan and this year is set up in a chronological format.
@katiefaithjournaling Жыл бұрын
I read about 80-90% Christian fiction this past year. I definitely feel more comforted when I do read Christian fiction, and there's no stress about there being bad stuff in them. I agree there are a lot of bad things in books, but I'm thankful that I can easily dnf books that I don't like. I plan on studying in the NKJV and NIV this year, those are usually my go tos, and spending more time with the Lord than I have been lately.

What’s the difference between Bible journaling and a Bible garden? I love when you put hearts everywhere!
@katiefaithjournaling Жыл бұрын
As far as I understand it, Bible Gardening is a term that some people use. That when different elements stick out of your Bible it's like a garden. As you grow in God's Word, your garden grows with you. It is all considered Bible Journaling though. 😁
@cherismith5707 Жыл бұрын
It seems to me that those who talk about a Bible Garden are referring to the little "tabs" they add that stick out from the top and sides of the Bible, like little "flowers" popping out everywhere from their Bible. I see it as quite distinct from the journaling and studying aspect. 🤷
