Wow!! Absolutely GORGEOUS setup 😍 As a potterhead, I LOVEEEEEEEEEEEE the harry potter theme! I'm definitely going to use some of these spreads and ideas 🫶🫶 I've been reading journaling for 2 years, i'm a slow reader aswel, but I find that my reading journal encourages me to read more, just so I can fill it in ❤

Finally the no pressure book journal I've been looking for! I love books, love reading but I'm such a slow reader. I've been toying with the idea of a dedicated journal for so long but been scared off by some on the videos I've watched because of how many books people read. This setup is perfect! Just my style... and I instantly recognised the Peter Pan reference... a beautifully written book... I'm sorry to say I was a adult before I read the original J M Barry works and not just Disney picture books.

I too am a slow reader. I've had the same Reading Journal since 2020, that l am just about to finish. If you ignore the whole monthly set up approach, it is not at all daunting. Barbara 🐨🇦🇺🦘

@@papierandcakes2159 Sometimes is good to use monthly set up even though you aren´t quick reader. I am slow reader and mood reader too. I like monthly set up, because it makes me take a fresh breath at the start at the month and sometimes bring inovative wiew into my reading journal. One month I add my wish list for new books, which I was aware about their time into market. Other time I put there a list of maybe to be read? I usually read more books at the same time. It means, I have open 1- 4 books, but really reading only one for example. I am marking, how long the book lay in the middle of reading and how long I really actively read them. It is amazing to see the results. At least for myself. So I can saw, that I didn´t read while summer. It was probably too hot for me, or I had too much worries, that even books couldn´t save me. But some other month I miraculously read five books as it was nothing. I can compare different authors. For example... I almost everytime am able to read Agatha Christie´s Poirot into one week. But I never achieve it with fantasy book with the same amout of pages. I think, that month tracking is good, if you wanna make some selfmonitoring back in time, if you wanna try to find your old mechanisms, which you don´t see in the present. Or if you wanna see, what to read more thanks to your behaviour. I mean, I love lot of books, but when I see data, I can define more clearly, what I trully apreciate.

For free audio books there's Librivox. It's audiobooks read by volunteers, it's mainly classics in the public domain and I've discovered really great ones. I like the narrator Elizabeth Klett, if I remember correctly she did a version of Jane Eyre I really liked.

Wow, your journal is beautiful 🤍 And I'm so happy I guessed peter pan right too 😄 I knew it straight away but was doubting myself that maybe I'm wrong. I loved how gentle, slow and calm this video was. My brain can't keep up with today's video trends with lots of cuts and super fast talking and loud everything. It's so nice to find youtubers who embrace the calmness and focusing in what they do without rush. Watched the whole video from beginning to the end cards 🤍

So funny. Aftrer shopping too much at this years Notebook Therapy Black Friday sale - or let's say during that - I really wanted to have a certain TN but wasn't sure what to do and thought about doing a longtime reading jpurnal, since I like the idea of a reading journal but don't read enough to have it on a monthly basis. :D Thank you for sharing your inspiration.

I totally relate to your reading habits! I always start reading like crazy around Christmas or fall and then stop as soon as spring rolls around. I tried to force myself into consistency by making monthly setups, but that did not work at all so I went back to just making a yearly setup with a few very simple lists and then I just do all my spreads related to each of the books after one another. I don’t finish the notebook after a year, so for the last few years I’ve been using the same notebook and always just separated the years with the yearly setups.

I recommend Libby, although your library might not be part of it. You log in with your library card and get to loan audiobooks and ebooks, it's the one thing I use for my audiobooks! Might be good for you too if you don't really have English books available where you are (here in Finland they can be pricey)

may I ask what library you are a reader of? I'm looking for a way to listen to audiobooks in finland but I don't know which library has the best selection of audobooks

On average people in the United States only read 12 books a year and only 32% of people in the United States read for pleasure. So you don't have to compare yourself to people who read over 100 books a year. That's like a really low percent of people on earth reading that many books a year. For example I read a average of a book a week every year but thats not actually me reading them every week one book. I typically read a average of one to three books a week. I read 100 pages a hour when the average is about 40-60 pages a hour. so your doing great. I love the hyperfixation journal it looks like you had fun. I do the same thing with mine only I have ADHD so I just decorate each page when I'm working on it with a basic set of washi tape and stickers.
