Thank you so much for the encouragement to do art - it motivated me to pull out my chalk paint and try painting the curtains - I've been putting off this project for over a year, just feeling intimidated and worried it wouldn't come out right. I thinned the paint with what I thought was way too much water, but gave it a shot. I painted a small area on the back of the bottom hem, so it wouldn't show if it didn't turn out well, but oh my gosh! My little sample looks perfect! Can't wait for it to dry (Annie Sloan's chalk paint, so only an hour...) and see whether it needs a second coat. Squee!!!

Try being a single parent who also works full time outside the home. Thanks, Joey, for the validation for me as a single mum. Really, not so many people (and especially men, like my son's father) acknowledge the effort put into raising a child. My son is a special needs child, so there are many additional challenges like speech and developmental delay, mood issues, and health issues. Many times, I think I'm not doing enough in a day, I should work harder, having migraines along the way. I love your makeovers and attitude towards life.
