I'm finding more and more, the further back one goes on tutorials for a software, the more the new methodology makes sense. This is gold! hey by default applying something to the left facing pages will be applied to all left facing pages, and right facing master page will be applied to all right facing pages.

Never mind. It was an issue with Windows 7. Running InDesign with some compatibility mode settings like Disable scaling did the trick...

I am running into when i shift+command click on the right hand page number, to move it, there is one behind it. I've double check layers, no extra layers, it even does it with just one layer. Have you ran into this problem?

I have been designing a catalog and made an original background to be added to all the pages then the design changed. .....I then created a second set of master pages. I'm not sure if I have to go through all of them and delete the first master pages before I apply the second set?

Help please: If anyone can answer this question, I would be very grateful. I understand everything in this video. What I don't understand is how InDesign wants you to do the following: So, in the magazine example he was using, he made the orange box for each section header page. Fine. Now, let's say each header has a title--"National," "Fashion," "World," etc. You want those words to each have the same font, size, style, etc., but the actual words will be different. What I want is a box so all I have to do is type in the box and it will come out the same on every section header page. How is that supposed to be done? As far as I can tell, I'm supposed to draw a new box on each individual page, and then define a style and apply that style to each page. That's what I'm doing now, but it seems too laborious, and more prone to error. Is this right? Is there no way to define the section master so there's a nice text box on each section header page, so I just click inside it and type the header, and all the styles and box size and position have already been defined for me? Thank you!

If you want it to be applied to even numbers only, starting from 2, why not create a master page with all the things/ graphics you wanted only placed on the right page, hence the even numbered pages.

I very much appreciated your instruction. When I Ctl/SHift to edit on one page, I am having trouble with the object disappearing entirely. I have tried different text wrap settings to see if that works, but nope. Any ideas? I'm in the Creative Cloud but brand new to it. I tried contacting their support line but their Indian English accent is too hard to follow. :(

How do i work on tamil fonts ? I have installed the fonts in my computer-parameters-appearence-fonts and also updated in C drive- programmes files - Adobe- AdobeIndesign CS6-Fonts...
