Creating Artwork for My New Stationery Business, Part 1 - Planning, Setting Goals and Making Art

I’m finally taking all of my art and illustrations, creating new artwork and starting my own stationery business and collection of greeting cards! I’m super excited to be working on my art business and I thought I’d share the process from start to finish in a 2-part video series where I’m going from planning, setting goals and reviewing my ideas, to actually creating the art for my cards, getting them printed and selling them wholesale/retail as well as breaking down my time, costs and revenue! I’m hoping that separating the videos into 2 parts will make it easier to organize as well as share the process and points that I think are super important throughout each part of my art business journey.
As an illustrator, and having gone to art school, creating commercial art, or art for business, is sort of second nature to me. I also have a background in managing and growing businesses so I actually find it hard not to combine the two:) It’s a struggle sometimes because I also love fine art and creating art for the pure and sacred sake of being creative and connecting with my inner emotions and expressing them - so I’ve decided that I can allow myself to do both and I’ll be sharing it all on my channel!
