Great tutorial. I have an issue though. The offset tools keeps wanting to offset along the red axis, instead of along the green (the plane). How do I change that? Some setting somewhere I suppose, but where?

Check the automatic planes setting

I am having the same issue, "automatic" is not a plane option when using the offset tool. I noticed that when you used the extract tool it created a polyline, mine creates a NURBS surface, and I think that is why it was behaving differently. When I checked "Create Planar Objects" in the extract preferences, I was able to create a polyline that I could then offset like in the video.
