I have a hard time signing into my account on Vaectorworks-Mac since i installed Esncape 4.1,. Enscape plug-in works but can't upload to web. I reached out to the Esncape people but no luck so far. Any advise would be appreciate it.

Maybe you downloaded an older preview version? The feature was included in a Preview in an unfinished state earlier.

Hello,Is enscape animation still not active on mac? Just purchased m1 pro 16gb 1tb. Can I get the same results same as windows by using high quality HDRI and textures? I will work medium-sized exterior and interior design

Thanks for the Video Jonathan. Overall some nice new features. I like the sketchy mode and watercolor mode. I don't use these often but I know people who would love this. AI feature isn't terribly impressive but its a step forward. They advertise it as something that could enhance people for example. Enscape people are not very pretty up close. I can see that being helpful. I would like to test that out. Thanks for the video!

I agree that more control and settings would be nice for the future, but overall it's great not having to render high res and using the AI to upscale. I also think this will improve over time, but it's a good discretion of travel.

@@jonathanreevescad AI upscale is interesting as long as it can produce the same result of images from different views. Many AI upscalers add new details too which can be of an issue. I think anyway that quick render and AI finish will be the way to go soon. Your demo also showed how Enscape produced a not so impressive results (logical - true photo realism takes more manual work) and students gravitate to Enscape because it is so easy to use but ignore the downside of that. Maybe the AI can fix that.

@@cekuhnen Yes, this was just a quick test, and I am looking forward to using this feature much more, and will make some more videos for sure. Have you tried Krea AI as I have found that to be excellent for enhancement, but not changing the image itself too much.

I have not thought of Krea that way. Do you use specific settings? Ai in general is bad at lighting making rendering still needed. But an AI that does not change the inage too much that would be weldome

As a long time user of Enscape I've grown too frustrated by it to stick with it as they refuse to add any of the features that forum members constantly request. It is rapid compared to others, I'll give them that, but that's at the cost of output quality which is not acceptable considering the high cost compared to Twinmotion which costs nothing. I like the watercolour effect they've added but I noticed that your screen started to lag immediatly when you activated it and I'm pretty sure you've got a very well specced PC, so that's a concern. I think with the addition of the building energy efficiency calculator thingy they are making it clear that their customer demographic is shifting to a more niche group, so I think this will only serve to make more small to medium businesses abandon it for Twinmotion.

Thanks a lot for the Video Jonathan! Now I know why you placed the human models backwards 😁....I just renderes an Image with 4.1 and AI by myself and the faces/hands look ugly. Not useable.

Thanks for the comments, and I do agree that people are often the weak link in CGI. However, now the new AI enhancer can really help with that.

ACAD, line weights by layer, by color is very old pen plotter technology. I am frustrated with VW limiting my control, I can only do what is programed in with VW, but in ACAD, I draw what I want. In ACAD, I can out draft VW or SU drafters in 2D drawings, I draw instead of fiddling with settings. I admit, ACAD doesn't do 3D well, but excels at 2D if that's all you need.

This video was a great reminder of some of the 3D tools available in Vectorworks. Can you believe I’ve been using the extrude profile command for chamfers and fillets! The actual filler tool is a real time saver. I’m using Vectorworks to make some fun sci-fi buildings to 3D print so your 3D printing video was great to see!

Yes, but only if you convert to subdivision first from the modify/convert menu. Or use the Subdivision from the start.

I think this is covered in one of the other videos, but basically just use lots of falling water particle effects and copy them around lots of times to create nice falling waterfall like effects.

Thanks for the walk through. I have a few questions if you don't mind. Do you know if there's anyway to store a part of the map so it can be used offline? Is there anyway of exporting areas as a 3D model so they can be worked on and enhanced i.e. in Blender? Also, have you tried rendering a sequence out? and if so, does it render without showing unloaded tiles? Reason for asking, we're working on a music video where we zoom down from outside of the planet and fly around to different locations, this will be done with a lot of edits, passing through clouds etc, so we'll have different models set up for each shot. It would be good if we could use this to create 3D models of different areas of the world, i.e. the Himalayas, cities etc.. if we could create models, we could enhance things like adding in realistic trees and water and replace specific buildings with more detailed models.

I find it so amusing that you're saying "Vectorworks is the best Software" pretty bold statement for someone who is still in the VW jungle for the past 20 years. Come out of it mate and smell the Urban jungle design challenges, If VW is so amazing why are more companies and design studios moving onto Revit and Archicad. I have nothing against what you're doing but do not make biased judgements and statements, present what you have to and show what you have to, and let the audience decide. Rhino is far ahead in the organic design utilising Visual scripting like Grasshopper. When will vectorworks catch up to the game beats me. Parametric modelling and automating drafting inside Revit using dynamo is far-fetched, when will vectorworks level up to such.

Thanks for your comments. I think that most interiors designers do not require or have the skills to use Rhino, Grasshopper or Dynamo, and Revit can be a sledgehammer for smaller or medium sized projects and the average user. Vectorworks is a real all-in-one design software that offers amazing 2D drafting with Adobe like qualities and its easy to learn. The 3D Modelling is also very good with history based modelling, NURBS and even subdivision modelling. Finally the built in rendering is good enough for design development and most presentation work, and if you need more then Enscape and Twinmotion are available. I agree that Vectorworks needs to keep improving in this rapidly changing CAD/BIM/AI world, but the think thats lacking most is the skills of the deisgn user base, which is why I specialise in online professional training. Anyway, its great to have some different opinions, and I can only recommend that people give vectorworks a try!

Hmm so you have never needed to import .sldprt in your industry experience ?? 🤔 I mean sure you can convert to other files but then poly counts/file size / computer resource drain from these.... Best we came up with is conversion software...but wasn't easy to find and adds time consuming process that needs to be taught to other team members etc.... Any other suggestions Jonathan? 🤔
