Quick question I have both the blankets on negative numbers -100 but when I render it starts from 0. Meaning the animation starts as the blanket is falling but I want it to already be on them…

Nice Tutorial! Two things that came to my mind. When doing cloth sims you can choose presets at the top of the simulation settings (button with points and lines) giving yourself a headstart. And as you already have a tracked camera you can model the doorframe, putting it into a collection and set it to "hold out". You are not able to get edge blur with though. good luck.

hey man the tutorial is great and exactly what i was looking for, I wanted to ask, instead of manually masking in after effects, is it okay to make a mesh that aligns with the door in blender then setting it as holdout? this way we wont have to render uneeded stuff too

I've been on C4D for like 17 years. I'm so close to switching but the whole "learn every button/layout/new names" is a total nightmare to overcome just to get back to where i left off in C4D. The switch could take over a year to get back to full speed. But i'm close to doing it.

I tried to make this and my desktop is full of attempts I have tried to add more subdivisions but made it so slow to render. (The second ghost is the problem) when his neck snaps it glitches through the blanket and then goes back under it. It used to glitch out and stay out but not it pops out and back in. Plz help

in my scene i am on a hall, and the cloth sim starts flying directly into a wall instead of falling down, do you know why?
@AcademyOfEdits2 жыл бұрын
It might just be too close, you can increase the collision quality, reduce the collision distance, or (the best option if the cloth shouldn’t be interacting with the wall at all) hide the wall and cache the simulation without the wall there!

I know it's a little late, I follow the fabric part to the letter and everything works fine, until I apply movement to my character, then the fabric slowly passes through it and falls or falls towards one of the sides of my character.
