Thank you SO much for posting videos on set like this. As an aspiring photographer, it’s extremely helpful to see a professional actually doing a shoot while explaining things very clearly along the way. You are awesome 😎

Loved this! Thank you Katelyn for sharing this! Loved hearing your thought process and how you manage to add more to an image without it looking like you added it. This series has been helpful to me so far & makes me realize what I can do to add a little jazz to an image.

I would like to thank you for sharing all your wonderful videos. I take pictures because I love looking back and remembering all the things family has done together. It is nice to have a little more knowledge about how to do it correctly so thank you so very much!

This is such a gorgeous, soft romantic image!! I absolutely love how you transplanted the weeds! You’re my kind of gal. I bring pruning shears to all of my photo shoots, and I can’t live without them!😆💖 Thank you for another amazing video, you are such an inspiration!

Hi Katelyn! ISO and SS question. You had a very quick shutter speed for these with an ISO of 200-350. Can you talk through why not put your ISO as low as it can go (100 I assume) and then just lower your SS to capture the light you. may have lost from a lower ISO?

Beautiful Image. I have to add my request as to why you stayed at 320 ISO. Is this for your editing purposes? Love to know. Thanks

I struggle with sharp focus when shooting wide shots with my 85. What’s your secret with getting sharp focus when shooting far away, with a low aperture (2.0) and with your 85- thank you, Katelyn!

Wonderful images. Can I ask why not iso 100 with such a high shutter speed? I’m still learning, just wondering. Thanks!

I have the same question

yes that could have been different! It wasn't intentional... but honestly, I don't think that adjustment would have made a big difference at ALL. So yes, its technically not as great as it could have been but the impact is low.

Just curious, why do you use ISO320 instead of ISO100? The shutter speed would be already high enough under 100
@KatelynJames2 жыл бұрын
When I’m adjusting quickly, I like to have a buffer on a wedding day! The difference between 320 and 100 is so minimal! 320 allows me to walk into a bridal suite from being outside and quickly capture something with a quick shutter reduction and not have to go too low.
@lisannecaldera26093 жыл бұрын
Why didn't you drop the ISO in this setting? Just curious. Also who is the gentleman in the dark suit and what is he shooting?
@KatelynJames3 жыл бұрын
The ISO could have been lower! That wasn't intentional. The guy shooting was the videographer!
@ginnyrae26723 жыл бұрын
These are gorgeous. I notice you don't seem to drop your iso down to 100 even in the mid day sun. Is this a technique I should know about? Share your secrets girl haha. Love your channel! ❤
