Creating DIY Envelopes Tutorial

Hi everyone,
I have had some interest (looking at you Shauna ‪@cerealnana‬ 😂) learning how to make your own envelopes from whatever you have around the house. Repurposing junk mail, magazines, old wrapping paper etc is fantastic for this.
Materials used for this project:-
Plain paper
Old envelope
Wooden envelope template
Scissors
Tombow Mono glue
Scrap paper
Magazine
Pencil

I have made envelopes for years but usually out of boring old kraft or colored cardstock. You have inspired me to start using the papers in the Daphnes' Diary and Flow magazines have laying around. TFS!!

What a great idea to make envelopes out of a collage masterboard! I always regret tossing that tiny piece of pretty paper. I'll have to stick it somewhere next time.

As a teacher, I have made envelopes from printed templates with my scholars in the classroom. At home, I have made a few out of necessity for size or purpose, but haven’t embellished them. I love the creative twist you have shared. I would enjoy doing this! Thanks for the inspiration.

I love your envelopes they're always interesting and thank you for the video. You show how easy it is to make your own envelopes. It is so rewarding as well. @@raybuck Hi Ray, I’m glad you enjoyed the video and like your envelopes! Junk mail is a great way to start. Cut or tear images and just stick them to an A4 size piece of paper and once you think you have enough there, photocopy/scan it onto some paper and see how it turns out 😊

Fascinating 🤩I looove snail mail and your collage envelopes look amazing. Thank you for this tutorial - you were perfectly clear and made complete sense as always. Normally my mother makes her own envelopes (which I pinch 😝), but now I have no excuse but to make my own.

@@suista hi there, thank you so much for watching. The glue is called Tombow Mono. I bought mine on Amazon. It’s not cheap but as I said holds the envelopes together very well and a little goes a long way 😊
