*How did you made the arms go infinite loop when coming from inside of the mesh? that's awesome*
@ZachAlanProductions2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Glad you liked it :) That effect is created using the Array Modifier and Curve Modifier. The armature rig that is used to animate the arms is controlling a Blender bezier curve. I modelled a single arm segment, and the Array Modifier has the Fit Type set to "Fit Curve," so it duplicates that segment as many times as needed to fill the length of the arm curve. So as the arm is animated and that curve gets longer or shorter, arm segments are added or removed to have consistent spacing. A Curve Modifier is applied afterwards, which actually bends the duplicated arm segments to fit the shape of the curve. This video from another channel does a good job explaining this technique :) kzbin.info/www/bejne/lWSxd6eId6l2jJI

Why do you have to always use PNG sequence? Is it because h.264 compresses videofile?
@ZachAlanProductions3 жыл бұрын
H.264 compresses the video file but also does not allow for a transparent background. Also if you spend hours rendering to an H.264 video file and it crashes, the video file will likely be corrupted and you'd have to render all over again. With image sequences each image is saved as it's own file, so if the render crashes, all of the rendered frames are still safe :)
@abbez48883 жыл бұрын

really nice effect. I have some notes I think the green screen background takes the arms out of the environment
@ZachAlanProductions3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! If possible I think the best approach is to film on location and capture a 360 HDRI/environment map on set. That way the actor is already in the real environment, and the CGI can accurately reflect the environment.

Can we get a tutorial where the arms are completely behind us? I need it for a film
@ZachAlanProductions3 жыл бұрын
The process is very similar if you have a green screen. It can actually be a bit easier since you don't see where the arms connect to the body, so any tracking and alignment doesn't have to be perfect. What part of the process are you unsure about?
@therealgarciagamer3 жыл бұрын
@@ZachAlanProductions im trying to recreate the scene where Ock says "Looks like we got competition" and I don't know if the trackers have to be in front of me or if i can animate it freely.
@ZachAlanProductions3 жыл бұрын
@@therealgarciagamer In that case you could animate the arms freely since you can't see where they attach. Tracking markers aren't necessary, but you can still utilize tracking. Just track some detail on your clothing to get the rough movement
