Those calories are for prestique not for consumption xD. The thing is those planets don't have a functioning or no radbolt produciton at all. so no delivery is made.

@@Luma_plays Could you try rocket delivery? (sending a rocket instead of shooting packages) Sounds tedious, but a single delivery could solve the problem for a while. ...just prepare a freezer or it'll rot.

stellar video as always. i remember when radiation was first introduced in the early access DLC, brothgar's experiments got me really excited about the new radioactive germ system. and then i never thought about them again because i and no other player i watched seemed to encounter them. this is honestly the first video i've ever seen trying to generate the germs, and it turns out they're an incredibly powerful mechanic! very, very cool stuff. i'm glad to have you in the community to show off this stuff off to us casual players/viewers. (btw, the busy background music makes it really hard to hear you clearly. the auto closed captions are good enough to compensate, but i figured you wanted the audio feedback.)
@Luma_plays2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the audio feedback. It is hard for me to level the music so it is constant. Each song has a different audio curve and i tried having them at the same volume. Any specific area that was noticable more annoying? so i can check the song. Thanks for mentioning that by the way :)
@582092 жыл бұрын
@@Luma_plays the music felt pretty loud throughout the video in comparison to your speaking volume. the hardest was the song near the start of the video (around 0:50)

@@58209 You are absolutely right. I just rewatched the whole thing on the TV and it was barely watchable for me. On the phone it is just right for my taste. Thanks Nommy for the feedback. I agree it wasn't planned that the video emded up with that volume. I tested TV, Phone etc. somehow it is barely watchable on Pc and TV. Phone seems fine to me. I need to learn how to balance the audio better.
@nommy85992 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the videos! IMHO it's not so much the volume but the style of music. It seemed very busy. A lot happening kind of. Not like something relaxing but rather sharp and busy. It's hard to concentrate on understanding you with the background music kinda completing for attention too, for me. Seems more like foreground music, not light background music that I think is better if complimenting speach too. Know what I mean?
@nommy85992 жыл бұрын
@@Luma_plays Thinking more about it, I think it would be fine for a timelapse or something but something smoother and IDK, less noticeable, gentler is going to make it easier to focus on and understand what you're saying. Just my 2c :)
@Luma_plays2 жыл бұрын
@@nommy8599 And thank you for them :) I used this kind of music to emphasise the feeling i wanted to create. But i overdid it in the beginning and with the volume over all. I could switch back to the more relaxed music. I am also not really sure about the impact cause other factors also influence the view duration drastically so even after so many videos i still don't know what people prefer. I think i will do a few pollls after the let's play ends. Maybe sooner?
@nommy85992 жыл бұрын
@@Luma_plays Sounds like a plan. I wonder if some research looking for anything about how types of background music while someone is speaking affected people. I'd expect it's been studied and there may be short videos summarizing the findings that may be of more use than general popular opinion. People generally may not know how they're effected by this... I'm probably more sensitive being a bit autistic, but my suspicion is everyone would be to some degree even if not aware. IDK though. In the end everyone is different with different tastes etc too. Build a few Sweepy's and they will be mopping up some of the polluted water and a few shipping arms and rails to in the end deposit the water back in the infinite storage. The arms can be used to pour the water into a pool or which can then be pumped back into the tank. At least you got a amount of polluted oxygen!

Last I tried, pokeshells couldn't eat from the food dispenser. Has that been changed? But hey! Awesome episode! I loved the usage of robo-miners. I wonder if there's an optimal strategy to use robo-miners for general mining? One big bonus is that robo-miners will preserve the 'outlines' of the biomes and will not accidentally reveal geysers. Their set and forget nature makes things much simpler, but I wonder if a robo-miner strategy can be made competitive to dupe-mining? Edit: Growing plants named after patrons is something really nice that I haven't seen before. Was this a special request by this patron?
@Luma_plays2 жыл бұрын
Robo miners can't really compete with dupes with the respective skill. but they are build fast and have a larger reach. They also do not need a break. Maybe i have not given them the attention they deserve. Maybe because when you have access to them you probably have dug up most soft biomes? The Patron-Plants was an early idea from me when i named the tiers wood and plant. I still like the Idea but the production of the name tags and the amount of plants would be too much for my tiny space :D (not that there are so many pateons but i already saw that it probably has no scalable futuee)
@thesentientneuron65502 жыл бұрын
@@Luma_plays I have also not used robo-miners very frequently. Your use of it today gave me this idea. One overlooked aspect is that they do not require as much computing power to run as a dupe (simple task list, no biological functions and no pathing). So they are very suited for mass deployment while your dupes can focus on manual labor. You could then have a blueprint with ladders, an autosweeper and a storage bin on a tile to have your dupes construct scaffolding very fast. Done right, this would allow for faster time warp with a bigger base and lower 'real-world' time.
@Luma_plays2 жыл бұрын
@@thesentientneuron6550 Really good idea. Need to implement them more often. The only issue would be some random obsidian tiles that could make it harder than anticipated.

Is it possible to dupe mutated seeds in this way? If so, could be useful for creating large amounts of certain mutations.
@Luma_plays Жыл бұрын
Sure any rad source can be used. this is just very powerful and you probably need to fine control the radiation amount. Every plant has a maximum radiation source it can handle for mutation. anything too much or too less does nothing.
