Thanks for providing some numbers along with the demo. I'm trying to program this from scratch in C++ and this one should be easier to replicate because of the random pixel distribution vs a nice clean spiral or something.

Absolutely loved this video. I have always been curious about Moire patterns as it is a frequent concern in both stage and video, and I don't recall ever seeing such a thorough explanation about what's going on. I would like a sequel though. I want to see what happens with greater and less transparency and I also want to see the interference of colors - particularly with color wheel opposites. Does this have an effect with 3D films when polarized glasses are used? For example, what happens when I wear 3D glasses and tilt my head at a 45 degree angle? Does the image just dim or is there a Moire effect with that too? Or is there no effect at all and I'm just being an idiot. Very nice video.

Beautiful video. You deserve better than the audio you currently have; it captures a lot of distracting mouth sounds after you have finished each word.
