This is fantastic! I love it when non musicians get involved with music making. Music should be for everyone to make.

yes yes yes, i used to live with a carpenter and he always complained that he felt boring around me (a musician and painter) and i said , no way!!! you are an artist with wood - and he really was - he would make entire wardrobes etc all tongue and groove and design it himself - no one does that anymore

Wow - --i made overtone flutes thanks to you . . . . and now just found your vids again. how much fun it would be to hang out. over here i started alot of drum groups etc, but mostly people wouldn't show up, or they are too shy to make weird noises. I had the most fun with a fellow named Zak who would show up and we would find broken things all over the park and play them. bike wheels are good.

Absolutely brilliant Nicholas! Thanks so much for sharing this one. I learned such a lot - the ceramic xylophone is amazing and I had never heard of the Baschet Brothers before. Thanks again mate, I really enjoyed this.

Hey! I'm a big fan of this channel and the instruments you make really inspire me. Recently I've been making idiophonic propane tank drums called "hank" drums, I have made 3 of my own with a total of 5 scales (2 have a scale on each side). They're really beautiful and inexpensive, and you could also probably give them pickups of some kind because they are vibrating steel tongues. Thought you might take a look at them, they seem like they might be kind of up your alley! Merci beaucoups :)

Not to disrespect your work. But these instruments sound a lot clearer than yours usually tend to. It may be because of the materials used and the acoustics in these halls propably. You could easily put most of these with a classical orchestra. Again not to be mean or so I like the interesting sounds of your creative creations 😅 PS: also very nice playing demonstrations of yours
