Creating NEW SPACE STARTERS!

VERY solid set of starters. Honestly really hard to pick between Infino (Love some Fire Type reptiles - hey, Maisaur fossils were the first dino fossils to make it into space so this is literally perfect!) and Smobol, which is just a perfect round boy. The final evolutions for all three are amazing too. I also love that the cross shaped eyes on Illumadoom look like the cuts that get put into mushroom caps for Japanese cooking.... Y'know what? ...just gonna game shark for all three.

​@@CuriousChaos I have some questionable ideas for some potential route 1 pokemon! First, route 1 would likely be a simulated or controlled environment where some earth pokemon would live in as not to interfere with the other planets life. But the earth like section could be a route 0 of sorts? Idk but some of the alien pokemon (designated, ET-#) on route 1 can be similar to early life on earth! Like from the Cambrian explosion time period. Most importantly, the route 1 rat pokemon would either be a lab rat, or an alien that just looks like one. Think, a hypogrif with cartoon alien antenna, but a rat. I hope you see this and at least consider some of the ideas I have!

I love Tundrigtand! It starts out as adorable, and ends as one of the coolest tardigrade designs I’ve ever seen. The fact that it stands up in the middle stage, just to decide ‘nah, this is dumb’, and gets back on all sixes is quite funny as well.

And judging by the type group, this theme of the type is the Goldilocks zone. Infino and it's evolution line resembles the earth's too close from the sun. Smobol and it's evolution line resembles the earth's too far from the sun. Shrewm and it's evolution line resembles the earth's the middle from the sun.

i LOVE how you can categorize the pokemon into types of things (?) that you might see in space fiction. like illumadoom is the alien, orbitopod is the spacecraft, and tundrigrand is the planet. it all fits so well!!

I don't think I've ever directly said this in your server, but I think you starter trio has very unique concepts and designs and I can honestly say that I like all of them. Shrewm and Smobol were neck-and-neck for my choices, but the cottagecore person in couldn't say no to mushrooms thus Shrewm was the winner. I would probably shiny hunt Smobol because pink shiny

The star nosed mole is so cool and sort of reminds me of a boar head with two chipped swords despite not following pokemon's design rules, they were well executed and didn't just feel "out of place" for pokemon, I love how unique it is

Personally I think Orbitopod is too over designed, but then again it IS outerspace soooo... I would honestly pick Orbitopod as my starter because of the Steel and Fire type combo and the highest BST of all the starters. I really like how their secondary types shift the type triangle. Ground is super effective against both Fire and Steel, Steel and Fire are both super effective against Ice, and Ice is super effective against both Grass and Ground.

Man. These designs are frigging bonkers. I mean that in the positive sense, because they're crazily well designed and thought out. I absolutely love LOVE L O V E the Tundigrand line. The smol boi turning into a frigging frigid planetoid destructo-disk wielding tank monster!? Epic. Oh wait sorry you gave it what as an ability!? Bruh. It's busted. Usually bulky ice types are a recipe for disaster, UNLESS it's a dual Water/Ice type. And that's exactly what you've created. It's not even fair man. I love it more than words can describe. And Illumidoom is a cool monster in its own right. The star eyes make it look menacing as heck! The night sky mushroom design is also a superb cool design aspect too. Aesthetically I think I like this line the best. But in terms of my own preferences, I just personally prefer my tanks and Tundigrand just delivers on that front. That doesn't mean I don't like the Fire line. The inspiration behind the dinosaurs in space becoming cosmic travel vehicles is actually super neat. I just like the other two a LOT more. Sorry. The only critique I can offer is that yes, you were right, Orbitopod looks the least "Pokémon" out of the three final stages. And it's not for the reasons you would think. I actually like it's non-biological vehicle inspiration and proportions, that's actually really cool. Gru plane for the win. The one thing that throws me off is that, at least from the pose in the art, I can't imagine how its limbs function and allow it to stand when it decides to not fly. Unless of course it never needs to land, in which case, I have more questions and I don't wanna turn this comment into more of an essay than it already has become. Summary, I love ALL the starters. Tundigrand is my fav. Also love the concept of Illumidoom. My poor brain just has too many questions about Orbitopod.

Love the concept as a whole. The astronomy concept is so unique and unusual but it would be so great to see something like this become part of the franchise. It would be amazing to see a whale based space line. I hope to see more videos in the future!

Got this video in my recommended today, gotta say it did interest me a lot! The region being based on outer space seems like a great challenge that will result in some very original designs. I would hope that your channel gets more visibility, because I know from these starter designs that you're gonna bring out some real great designs and story for the region. All of these Starters are awesome, but Shrewm is definitely my favorite. It's just the perfect combination of design elements from three of my favorite Gen 1 'mons, Bulbasaur, Sandshrew and Paras.

I love mushroom and fungal based ideas and concepts and the cosmic star nose mole is so perfect, I love dinosaurs and rockets so much and a speedy rocket parasaur is so perfect, and tardigrades are some of the most interesting microorganisms and one of my favorites and a chunky ice planet pokemon with cool ice rings is so awesome, WTF they’re all so perfect and entirely my style.
