It's really starting to come together. I love the wallpaper you've picked out. On a side note (property insurance adjuster here) if it's determined that your AC or any other pipe caused the the water damage, you can push back in that it is a plumbing or fixture leak, not true surface water. However, if there is also a problem with the drainage and it is holding rain water, they can deny it as a concurrent loss because if two losses happen at the same time and one is not covered, then usually neither of them will be covered. Good luck!

Great job! I have a level with a digital angle readout on it. Way easy to figure it out and once you do that you have a miter button to hit and gives you the saw setting. Not to expensive, but there are analog options for even less. They make things like figuring odd angles out way easy. Also for the crown make a crown stop and cut the crown as it sits on the wall. Googled "nested crown molding cut" Kreg makes a jig for it and if you are doing crown its handy. Double bevel cuts are way more complicated. Way less caulking to fix the corners. If you dig around on Carpentry TV youtube channel for a bit you will find some great tips.

You sound like us we had a leak in our front yard close to the house. My son was fixing the leak when bad weather moved in he did a temporary fix until the weather passed. When I was getting ready to go to bed I laid on my bed I saw a spot on the ceiling our roof was leaking . It seems to be one thing after another. The central air fan quit working we haven't been able to find a new one . We had 3 window units in the garage. So we've been relying on them till the new one comes in. We have mold in our main bathroom so all the sheetrock has to be replaced. I'm waiting for the next . Prayers and Love 💕 From Oklahoma

Dean, you need to write a few more songs. 1. You really need a proper Home Depo song. The Big Orange deserves its own tune. 2. How about a "I'm a happy home owner" type song you can pull out every time another crisis happens with the house? 3. "I love working outside when it's over 100 degrees." would get a lot of airplay. 4. "I need a coffee." would be funny, too. Or "Let's get some lunch."

Wow! I was empathizing with Andrea’s frazzled brain when drawing out the cuts on the shiplap, and I was woohooing at those tiny angle cuts that the trim didn’t break. I felt my muscles straining when I saw the look on Dean’s face holding up the trim. Oh boy, sometimes the house just needs a huge birthday. Love the progress and how you work together through the trying times. ❤

Dean and Andrea, It is always nice to see the outtakes at the end of the video. You are both at your most natural side i think. By that i mean more relaxed. I love your news letter Dean it is very informative and i look forward to trying it out when i build up the courage to do it. I have loads of projects in my head but when the camera is on i go mind blank, so yeah, that's a thing, i guess. I knew you had an Auto Immune disease Andrea but i thought it was Colitis or Irritable bowel but you have the same one as i have. Inflammatory Bowel is very bad it can flare up for no apparent reason. So i feel your pain and your fatigue and its not very nice. now i eat like a rabbit no meat what so ever and i am flare up free at the moment, i have other health issues as well like Migraines Heart problems SVT and Bradycardia which is a pain too if i get stressed out i find my flare ups happen and if i eat something too spicy like jalapeño in a wrap does a number on my colon so that's a thing too. I am also a bit of a hermit these days, We purchased our new house with 11 acres and then we bought 5 horses so i can work with them and ride one or two of them My pinched nerve in my spine needs to be fixed and sometimes riding helps you use muscles you wouldn't ordinarily use every day but you feel so much better after getting down from a ride. My Doctor recommended exercising but i think you use more muscles in horse riding than you do from any other sport. This is open for debate obviously, not everyone is going to agree. Before i got sick i was active on the go all the time and i hate sitting still for long periods of time so i found that it took years to heal from my first bout of IBD i was so tired all the time and i never wanted to do anything but sleep after being released from the hospital. I have an allergy to Anti inflammatory drugs, so i have to be put on prednisone, which can cause all sort of problems if your on it long term weight gain is the worst. I have lost a lot of weight and i am getting more comfortable in myself now i hated being twice the woman i formally was i literally doubled in dress sizes. Its horrible. i still take medication which only controls the symptoms and masks the pain but some days i have to force myself out of bed and face the chores of the day. Summer should be a bit easier as the horses are outside all the time so there are no stalls to clean which leaves me more time to do other things. I was over at my daughters the other day because my Grand Daughters Cedar house i bought for her was damaged in the storm we had recently and i went over with my tool bag and my drill and started to disassemble the house so i could fixe the parts that needed fixing, and it must be completely foreign to men in that neighbourhood to see a lady with white hair using a power tool cos some of the looks i got was shock and surprise, to me picking up my power tools is second nature to me my hubby is a tech kinda guy and i am i cannot wait for this to be done so i get on with it. Just like you. So i am always surprised by the reactions i get. One day a guy asked to borrow the circular saw from my hubby and he just said you better ask Tracy cos they are her tools not mine and the guy looked shocked, why are guys so surprised when women empower themselves and do things themselves women have been doing these things for years its not like back in the day when women did well women things like sewing and taking care of the kids cooking and cleaning i do all of that still but my hubby has been military since i met him i knew what i was signing up for right away so i had a neighbour show me how to use the new power tools i got and just start to repair things that didn't involve height and so i just did it. i love using power tools its great. You have had a really busy and trying few months now you must be sick of having saw dust everywhere and being in a construction zone i was like that in our other house. When is it going to stop??? Our house we moved into in October is finished just beautifully nothing needs to be done to the house but the barn needs the concrete redone, which is a pain to say the least the concrete they used was basically boulders with a little concrete to keep it together. They call it poor mans concrete in the world of Architecture and Engineering, It was what they used to build barns back in the day my barn is approximately 150 years old back then they either built the barns with wood Post and beam construction which is still in use today and the barn is gorgeous the concrete walls where the barn meets the ground has settled a little too much and some of the wood beams in the floor need replacing and the concrete walls holding up the structure has really big cracks in it and the footing need redoing, which is a lot of work. The barn has tension cables holding the back end of the barn from moving out any further. The structure is still sound but it needs some TLC for sure, but first i have to get twenty plus years of the cows pigs and horses mater out of my barn. it is hard work but i have been removing it since we moved in the first thing i got rid of was the spider webs every where some were hanging down from the ceiling in the lower base part where the animals are kept out as they can become a fire hazard some were 12 inches long which was gross but i got a long handled broom and went to work. most of the recycled mater had already turned into soil which is great because we want to grow our own veggies and herbs, so this is good soil for that the rest was piled up out behind the barn to rot down naturally which a few months to a year we will have more good soil to use in our garden. Plants were the first thing on our list of things to do and i still think we need more there. then fixing the barns concrete which is going to be a lot of work the upper structure is made of wood but the lower part has concrete floors walls and footings so we are going to replace the walls with Concrete cinder block walls after the footing are done then when the walls are done and the footing we can pour concrete in to fixe the floors but to do that we need to jack up the upper level which is empty right now and then we can get to work building stalls which come in kits so i can bring the horses in for the winter months and turn them out during the day times. I just have my minis in doors over night because of the wild life around us i don't want anything to happen to the little ones as they are separated from the full sized horses incase they get hurt of killed accidently by the big ones running around and bucking and kicking in play. Which sometimes happens. I am glad i found your channel i am sure you must have people saying that you are not alone in your disease so i wont say it because i am sure you know Andrea. If you want to talk about it or maybe come up with new strategies in not having flare ups or to exchange notes on DIY, i would love to hear from you if you have time in your busy world i am the same here but i make time when i hear from my friends. Take care you two and God bless you and your family till the next one. Stay safe and healthy as you can be.

Y’all are so fun! Also, it will sound absolutely crazy, but you should look into the carnivore diet for help with autoimmune issues.
