Hello everyone, in this video me and a mate of mine board and carpet line the underneath of my rock n roll bed to create extra storage space in my VW Transporter T5.1 self build camper.

Thanks mate yeah it finishes it off nicely underneath. I even got a left over off-cut of carpet laid across the floor to make it a bit nicer... that’s getting edge trimmed tomorrow in red 😅😂

Good to hear, I’ve had a few people say to me after seeing my van. I’ve a lot of camper owners say they don’t use all the side cupboards and stuff and would prefer a bigger bed. I think when I do another conversion I’ll do a low down kitchen unit along the side and a 130 wide bed 👍

Looks great. Only think worth mentioning is there not much airflow for the fridge condenser so it’ll working it’s arse off to stay cool. Great job though 👍

Shanker - Man hi mate yeah I did think of that but we left a gap on the side panels and above the fridge it’s very open too, I can always remove that panel behind if it’s a prob though cheers 👍

Hi mate off the top of my head the front half is about 290mm high and the rear half is about 450mm high
