We've had our Rib bed for 12 years it's been amazing. So glad we waited saved and paid the extra money. Everyone who sits on it says wow this is comfortable. We do use a mattress topper as it is a little hard but the quality is second to none. Brilliant video.

I personally prefer the Rib bed, more versatile and imo much more comfortable for sleeping on and generally just feels more solid and better built.

I actually like the rocknroll bed because the back is like a seat. Great place to sit and enjoy the view.

I have a RIB bed in my small Nissan nv200…. But still haven’t worked out a way of getting in to bed mode when it’s raining!

RIB gives you much more boot space and would be my choice, every time, although both woukd be suitable for your application .

Is there a large space behind the rib bed? I don't like the large spaces behind the beds when they are in the seated position.

Yes exactly as shown in the video there is around 2ft of space. It means you have a "boot" to store bedding etc. Rock and roll bed cans be more flush to the back door

Our R&R bed has a shelf at the back too to store all our bedding and some bags too. You didn't pick a very good R&R example in order to make the RIB bed look better. With good 4" foam the bed is much more comfortable to sleep on and has much more accessible storage underneath and all around. Plus it is much cheaper, easier to install and use. ..oh and it is lighter too. These are all reasons for it being number 1. Bearing in mind these beds are used mainly on Trafic/Vivaro/T4,5,6 sized vans ,the storage aspect is very important. So many of these fancy gadgets, aside from being expensive, are designed to take up the limited space available, making the van feel very cramped.. To my mind "simple" is always better and this attempt at reinventing the wheel has not worked.

Should of showed a VW california rock and roll bed. Far better design and can move seat up and down the van to give a large boot size. I don,t think this was a true comparison..

I prefer the simplicity of the 'rock n roll' bed, less weight and not as expensive.
