What I don't understand is why it was harder to lift up a military family to be just at the same level as an immigrant family. It makes me feel more love toward the military family just to pick up the slack. I love immigrants too, but my gratitude is to the family who sacrafice everything, their parents, their siblings, their spouses, their children and their own very lives to help keep us safe and free. And it's these very soldiers who keep the immigrants safe and free also. I hate to say it, but if you ask the immigrant families who they support most, it would obviously be harder to lift up protesters as high as our military families. Thank you to those putting themselves in danger to keep me safe.
