SO MANY GAMES shy away from even including the option of a snap-to-grid which is so frustrating for me, THANK YOU FOR INCLUDING THE OPTION this looks incredible!!
@delphicdescantАй бұрын
Well yeah, trying to become less grid-like is kind of important for voxel games going forward. But I do understand the convenience of having larger parts snap to coarser grids.

Maybe strange to say for a voxel game, but I'm getting flashbacks to the MySims game for the old Wii. Seems a great system for making custom furniture, and I'm here for it.

this all looks amazing! my only feedback is that the bombs explosion seems far too small, i would either increase the size of the explosion or remodel the bomb as some kind of hand grenade, or maybe both and have a small hand grenade and a bigger bomb!

@@sky_comet currently it is small to make sure performance stays fast (not modifying too many voxels at once. I like your solution of making the bomb itself look less powerful to match the explosion! (While i work on processing bigger explosions)

what if you could make your own ingame? not like tutorial on how to make them i mean like being able to piece it together like say if you wanted one for mining, breaching or bunker busting? a way for the game to figure out what this buildable item would do and cache it would be a cool alternative to custom items for example making a pickaxe but putting a jewel on the head or handle to improve it in some way or make a pickaxe from scratch.

I adore this already! The colors, the critters, and vibes...magnificent! I suspect my suggestion is more a personal preference but with the presence of the critters it feels right to throw my hat in the ring. Minor parkour elements (stamina system, wall jumps and slides, edge hanging, climbing), the tools as items, MAYBE a stat system and some loose skills (nothing too MMO but whimsical and more subtle), and some small survival elements (or a game mode for it). 10/10 I want this game already!

the game looks and plays amazing overall, a survival mode with different difficulties and each difficulty to have different challenges to pass, not like minecraft where just the hunger and the mobs change, but once the difficulty it s increased, the lore of the game and the challenges to be different and also if you decide to switch to a difficulty, to be blocked there and not switch back, something like this I think that would definitely be really well received by the players and community❤ overall as I said the game it s amazing and it s something that a lot of minecraft fans are definitely waiting for!! especially the building capabilities with endless options and where the only limit it s truly your imagination, and combined with a survival challenging mode that keeps you playing, this game it s gonna be in the eyes of many minecraft and voxel players

Really nice project! A good addition would be to be able to hold down the button to create a plane or a volume for the copy as you do for normal voxel positioning (stacked based on copy selection size), I think otherwise in the long run the copy and paste operation just to create a larger version of the copy (like the wall or the floor for example) would become frustrating.

ive just come across this game and holy hell it looks cool, those building tools look like they'd allow for some CRAZY creative stuff. it kinda feels like if minecraft and noita had a baby and i'd totally play the shit out of this the only thing im a bit worried about is the game's visual aesthetic, mainly the worldgen. the world looks a bit TOO minecraft-y right now even with the rounded corners of each voxel. the building tools are so versatile and seem like they could make such interesting shapes but that's not really reflected in the worldgen. are there any plans of using the smaller voxels and cool shapes in the terrain generation? cuz if not i feel like that's a massive missed opportunity

I finally understand why smaller voxel style games won’t beat Minecraft. The precision of every single block in Minecraft aligning to a grid makes it so much easier to build. Once you start breaking that down into smaller voxels and allowing stuff to be offset or off kilter from the main grid, it becomes less satisfying and more challenging to deal with.

3:20, The choice of arrows seems inconvenient, maybe it's better to make a drop-down menu with tile positions? Also custom presets/history are needed, when a player builds a big location, he has many different materials, adjusting the texture every time is just the wrong way to do it
