This the second video in a series about binding a quilt. In this video I am sharing how to make a continuous bias strip. I have begun to create a small stash of pre-made bias strips of 2.5 inches wide. I want to be able to audition fabrics in the same way I do in the rest of the quilt when I am preparing an appliqué block or a pieced block. By having the bias strips ready I find it makes it more likely I won't just do what looks ok, rather put as much time and thought as anywhere else in the process of making a quilt. Or in other words, beauty and elegance until the very last stitch.
