The bias strip is sewn on the top of the quilt, but instead of sewing on the back by hand there is another option that is to sew the bias strips down on the top of the quilt. It is like sewing in the ditch, but the binding is being sewn down simultaneously. I also show how to make mitered corners without the bulk. It also means there is no finishing off the continuous bias strips in order to finish sewing on the binding. Each edge is done separately using this method.
