Against friends maybe. They thing about the random drops means someone will be way stronger. So in a 1v1 it's more luck than skill. In this style of playing against someone of the level it makes more sense.

Since Hardwood already gives +200% damage, wooden sword would benefit a lot more from being in 2 fanny packs. Going from 300% to 330% damage is not worth that 30% attack speed slow.

from dps standpoint you are correct, but lifesteal was usefull in some of those fights
