Unfortunately, I've never actually played a Mortal Kombat game so I wouldn't be able to do it justice.

I really appreciate this series, even when it's for a character that I'm not all that familiar with (it's been a solid two decades since I played a Halo game). How far into this series until we get to see some bat rep videos of you trying the characters out? It might make the videos longer than you'd like to keep them at, but I'd love it if you also created a tactics card for each character. Keep up the good work!

We definitely want to do battle reports with custom characters, just need to make enough of them that we can do it! As for tactics, that's also something I want to add to the series but I think the idea for them is doing them as their own video, after we have enough characters, where we just make a bunch of cards for the theme/affiliation.

IT'S JOHN HALO I like the level of dice manipulation he has to represent the amount of luck he canonically has. The Shields Down passive is a little wordy and confusing. Does it only activate after he was first injured since the passive is only on his injured side, or from the start of the game? It might have been easier to give him shield tokens similar to flashpoint to represent shields and have them recharge fully every round

Haha yeah the Shields Down is definitely super wordy, basically the idea is the tokens only matter when youre on your injured side, might have been easier to just do something with shield tokens but I wanted to represent the healthy objective power with the shields up too.

What's your method for determining threat on a character? Is it simply a wealth of experience at playing MCP? I've started making some MCP cards for characters in my homebrew superhero RPG and the bit i'm struggling with most is deciding on a Threat level. Any tips?
@ZetroxWargaming11 күн бұрын
For me it's kinda arbitrary and mostly as you say just experience with the game. Usually I try to think of comparable characters with similar abilities and what threat we usually see those abilities at for a kinda baseline, and then from there it's an educated guess, often I'm willing to go back and change some health/attack values to make it fit better if needed. For an RPG, like any, be willing to tweak things on the fly if it's feeling like something is too strong or weak, make sure your players know it's a less-tested system and take advice/suggestions they have.

I know the space is tight, but no leadership?
@ZetroxWargaming3 күн бұрын
I wanted to save leadership Master Chief for when I do blue team, this one is kinda supposed to be chief off on his own. Depending how I'm feeling, it'll either be a tactics card leadership or a different version of chief down the line, but not decided yet
