You’re amazing... 15 years using Keynote and I learned more of how to use it with 3 of your tutorials than just using it myself Thanks a lot

Thanks so much. They don't make it easy and hide so much of what it can do.

I am also passionated about teaching. People love how I do my talks. Like you, I try to get their attention and keep them in tension during the whole talk, and I have a constant exchange of information and feed-back...but you helped me to see that I can bring this experience to another level. Thanks a lot because I am just dreaming about what I can achieve in the virtual academy that we are launching thanks to your advices...Thanks a lot... Just another short question and sorry for taking a bit of your time. What app or aplication would you choose to do animations outside Keynote. I tried many but they are very time consuming and complicated...and thanks again

Great video. I’m going to try this. Setting up the rectangles looks a bit tricky.

It's not too bad. The group trick helps and then the guides that will help you make them all the same size helps a ton.

This was awesome. I did have a problem with the guides numbers. I did change their color, but as the animation moved, the numbers did not move with it, so I figure, let me get the opacity to the minimum, but...it still shows in the animation...Don´t know what to do. Help.

@@StephenGates By the way, how can I get a hold of you? I emailed you a few days ago and haven't heard back from you yet. I'm sure you're busy, just needed to get some input on something. Thank you.

Stephen, thanks a lot for your tutorials. You rock! Question: when you duplicate the vertical bands 3'40" into the video, the mouse movements are reflected with a blue line and the [x,y] mouse position is displayed. How does all this happen? Are you holding down some cmd/alt/ctrl/shift combination?
@StephenGates3 жыл бұрын
It’s an app I use called Mouse Pro that makes that effect. It is not in Keynote.

Hi Stephen, I just created the agenda slide - this is brilliant. One question though, where do you get your icons from? Also thanks for the tips regarding numbering the rectangles, grouping and ungrouping them, you're a life saver.
@StephenGates4 жыл бұрын
I get my icons from either FlatIcon or Iconmonstr as they are both free and high quality. FlatIcon has a better variety.

Hi Stephen - great tutorials - thank you. What screen capture software do you use? I’m interested in software to provide mouse fx for training movies.
@StephenGates3 жыл бұрын
It just the built in screen recording that comes with MacOS. I size it to the HD screen ratio and record it then pull it into adobe Premier.

I have the problem shown at 9:09 where it trades the squares even when I put the numbers down. :( Is there a bug in Magic Move for Big Sur?

Curious, how would you be able (once you bring in an image), to blur that image and keep it blurred in the background without having to use the "blur" effect that eventually makes it disappear? Remember, I"m just trying to blur and image and keep it blurred (and shown), in the background. Hope what I described makes sense. Thank you.

Sorry but I am a little confused. Are you talking about an image in the video or that is an effect you are trying to create?

Stephen, How I can import to Keynote de Icons from a website more easy
@StephenGates4 жыл бұрын
I usually export them from those sites as a PNG and then you can just drag them into the file.

Just set the text colour to transparent or the opacity to zero bro. That way if you decide to replace the back colour you don’t have to modify the text again
