Creating the ULTIMATE BACK PATIO | Building a House Ep. 28

In this building a house episode we partner with our friends at Trueflame and Stoll Industries to design and create the ULTIMATE BACK PATIO. We worked with Stoll to come up with a custom cabinet that would house a Trueflame Grill and Side Burner and provide us with a seating bar area. We will also be adding the Trueflame Sanctuary Series Fire Table to the center of our back patio to create a lounge area. Before we can add these products we need to get our back patio finished and ready. First we need to finish the columns and get this place cleaned up. After adding all the products and our own furniture we host some friends to cook and eat on our Ultimate Back Patio!

Thanks BKK!! We think it turned out great too! And it’s already been an issue, we found ourselves grilling out and enjoying the deer and turkey in backyard last night. We were supposed to be sealing our basement floor, it may take some time to get used to hahah

That Grill requires the combustible wood ceiling above it to be protected, most often accomplished with an outdoor exhaust hood? How did you get around that requirement?

What were the considerations for not adding steps or egress from the back patio to the backyard? I would think for future pets, kids, ease of use this would be something you two would want or to have for future sales opportunities.
