In this #devlog I create unlockable skins or costumes, branching dialogue trees with custom UI, and melee combat to my indie game. It's a 3D platformer with a creepy, scary psychological thriller dynamic added on top.
As a solo game developer with no experience with coding, the process is slow going but steady. While I like Unreal Engine, I've been making this game in Unity using Playmaker. I also use Blender 3D and Krita to make the art for my game. While it's not a tutorial or how-to series, I do go into quite a bit of detail in ever devlog so that you understand the work that went into this as a solo game dev.
