Creating vector feathers in Affinity Designer with David Sossella

In this Lockdown 2020 session, illustrator David Sossella spills his secrets on how to create different types of feathers in Affinity Designer. He walks you through his process from start to finish, before showing you how to apply the feathers to dragons and other characters.

I love to work with symbols but there are some inconsistencies (not keeping adjusted center while duplicating f.e.) and bugs (symbol library getting mixed up or deleted, app crashes on ipad) not making it easy to work with.

It’s astounding for an amazing artist who’s so well versed in highly complex designs, can’t even pronounce a simple word like “feathers”. In the first portion of the clip I kept wondering what are these “feeders” that he’s talking about. I’m well aware that he’s Italian, but it takes a few seconds to correct a mispronounced word when it’s pointed out to you, So this is a constructive feedback.

Why is it astounding? Design doesn't have anything to do with language, let alone with English. I think your feedback is quite unnecessary.
