Experience speaking here...bundles should come with a larger sized white, or at least two 4 oz. whites. It runs out way sooner than the other colors, especially working in this style with bright pretty colors.

Hi, fellow follower here, I’m an intermediate aspiring painter. Highly recommend Nova Color acrylic, esp. Betty’s Bundle. They are a great quality & a good value ounce per ounce compared to Golden, Rembrandt, etc. Betty’s color selection is curated for success without being overwhelming. I recommend buying a quart of titanium white at same time if you buy a bundle. I used up the 4 oz. white jar first before only using 1/4 of any other color. I wish I’d bought the big white jar at same time to save on postage. I really like NovaColor’s screw top lids instead of typical squeeze tubes to easily scrape out every last bit. I cut 3-4 inch strips of cellophane wrap, double into squares, then lay across top of each jar before screwing on the lid. It keeps paint out of the threads of the lid and the paints stay nice and fresh even after painting intermittently during the past year.

I agree, I visited family in London and did visit the Tate and other galleries, and found myself standing just inches from Van Gough, Gauguin, Monet, and other's great artworks. Even now, no longer able to travel, I'm in awe of having seen them so close, every brushstroke, the colours, it's surreal and exciting that I actually saw them up close, the actual paintings, not photos. It's a feeling, excitement and emotion that can't be explained fully. 🎨🖼🦘

@BettyFranksArt we had our Paris trip booked, and days before she was called back to work, she was upset that I continued on. It was a dream since I was a little girl, and I'm so glad I did go now, I've been back on that 23-hour flight three times since to help after her births and we've never done that trip together. I'm just so glad that I did it, it was a big thing for me to do alone, Paris and down to the south of France and Avognon, beautiful memories I relive often.

Thank you for clearly and fully sharing your process; this is very inspiring. I notice that when you are colour mixing, with either the cool or warm palette, that you use white but never black or another dark. Is there a particular reason for this, or just a personal preference? Again, thank you.
@BettyFranksArt2 ай бұрын
Hi James! I rarely add black or a dark color when I'm mixing my colors. The main reason is because I love bright colors. To keep them bright, I avoid the darker colors that will mute the brights. Thanks so much for watching and asking!
