I am inspired and my thanks go out to these amazing people. I have been looking for a while to find the simplest way to give one person the opportunity to drink the best water, which can be produced without electricity, inclusions and not a rain water tank. This must be it! So I will give it a go. ...... Thank you and You Tube for sharing your expertise. Water for one. A simple project for a tiny back yard, with great expectations.

Hi this project has been a wonderful boon to many people around the globe, but may I suggest you look at the videos of Ascension Island where the Victorians planted the slopes of the dead volcano with very specific trees and other plants to catch the fog, where there was once barren rock and ash there is now a forest with springs and a great deal of wild life this approach may be more beneficial in the long term or even a mix of both systems.

Hi I realize that these are called fog net, but will they work in a very dry place where there is no fog. or a place that has temperatures between 35 and 45C in an urban setting, on top of buildings.
@maituub6 жыл бұрын
No, it are really FOG catchers, no fog = no water ( harvest). Then when there is still humidity in the air you can do it like/with air-conditioners / De-humidifiers ( but that are energy hogs ).
@satchituku6 жыл бұрын
No it won't work when the temperature is not conducive to form fogs. In that case a thermodynamic loop may be used to condense humidity and immediately recover the coolness of dry air, so that minimum energy is used to generate water. Method is suitable for hot and humid tropical areas.

What an amazing group of young men! WOW. There are also things called Atmospheric Water machines that take the water from the atmosphere that you can use. One creates around 10,000 litres in a 24 hour period. There are smaller ones also - 80 litres in a day. And different sizes in between. Pretty cool!

Your method is really ingenious. You guys need to get together with some permiculture experts like Geoff Lawton for other ideas in water collection and soil development. I think there's always room for improvement of ideas. Who knows, maybe you could change the whole ecosystem of that area. Desertification is a big problem very few governments want to discuss or solve. And the poor will always pay the price figuratively and literally. Great work. Please keep it up.
