Las Vegas , Nevada , gets its water and electricity from Lake Mead ; unfortunately due to drought Lake Mead is almost bone dry, and getting worse; I wish the politicians and business people here look into Israel's lead and innovation in this regard , and save my hometown from becoming a ghost town ; thank you for sharing Israel's water solution.

But no one in your town really saves water. You did catch that part in the video about conserving water. If you're wasting it, then you're just going to use up what you save when it does rain. Plus you won't have as much when it does rain because you wasted so much extra.

I was a plant manager for an Adidas factory in southern India. There the temperature during the day is 55 degree Celsius and 23 during the night. We have around 3000 workers in our factory. For this reason, we have our own power generator and machine to produce water inside our factory. In one dry season, I made a test to keeping green at one of our small areas outside the villa I was living. The result of such test is remarkable. Within 6 months we were able to transform a soil that is full of hard rocks into a grassland. From this test, I completely understand that we can reverse the desertification process caused by human.

@Saltz Hill I am mostly talking about the progress Israelis made with hostile conditions they are in whether it is environmental or political. I am happy for you if you find peace in your religion. But I have to disagree with you on our unity. We see unity in diversity. We have our share of problems when fundamentalists breach their boundaries and try to force their faith on others. As for as the religions are considered India is a home for people with many faiths like Hinduism, Islam, Christianity, Buddism, Judiism, Jainism, Sikkism and many tribal faiths. It is a country of 1.4 billion people and it is pretty United even though every state has its own language and government. India is more or less like an European union. And you know.. all these Abrahamic religions were foreign to Indian people until middle eastern and European invaders started colonizing India. We are in 21st century and we need to preach secularism not fighting saying my god is better than yours. BTW.. my dad was part of tribal clan and they worship nature.. I belong to modern generation and believe in humanity and reason. not any God. Just saying.

@@pktantri believing in humanity and reason instead of God will seem pleasing in the short term but not in the long term. It is pleasing in the short term because you don’t have to concern yourself with how to atone for your sins, and yes I know that we are all sinners lol. So when you begin to look at the long term as in eternity you are forced to confront your flesh and the sins that have accumulated over your lifetime of reason and humanity. There isn’t enough space here to get into the deeper part of this topic so I encourage you to think upon it and find a good source of information. You might start by simply reading the Bible, just don’t simply start at the front and try to read through it lol. You will get bogged down in the 4th book lol. Rather start with John in the New Testament, then Acts, Romans, Ephesians, Galatians, then go back to John again lol. For a really good podcast go to Catholic Answers Live. They do 2 hours every day Mon to Friday and they have their back catalogue of episodes you can listen to. I especially like the episodes that are called Q and A as people from all over and ask the most random and interesting questions lol I listened to their entire first 15 years more than 3 times and learned so much. It’s truly a great resource. As for that Bible look for the RSV-CE for a very readable translation. You can even get one for free online just google free Bibles. If you need help or have a question reach out to me and I will do my best to help you as much as I can. If it’s something I don’t know I will say so and search for the answer. I actually teach a religion class every week for about 9 months of the year. I will keep you in my prayers and I will never judge you or preach at you about devils or demons or whatever that other person was going on about lol. That was just rude and not the gentle spirit of love that should guide us especially when speaking to others. I hope to hear from you some time. Cheers

Here in Western Washington State where we have too much rain, I design and install septic systems. If a house already exists but the soils are to poor for a typical conforming septic system, I use subsurface drip tube technology that largely came from Israel. This has been a huge step forward and allow me to installs systems when before we didn't have enough room or good enough soils. My 1st drip system installation 15 years ago, kept a family from loosing the home they inherited form their father. So - thanks Israel.

Western Washington state had too much rain. Eastern Washington state is high desert! It is a one hour drive on the Columbia Gorge Rt 14 to go from 45-70 inches of rain a year to 13! California pumps water from wet areas to deserts or LA could not exist. Washington has basically the same laws on both sides of the Cascade Mountains for water and has no pipeline.

Look at city of Shevchenko, now Aktau, Kazakhstan - the BN-350 nuclear power station was used to provide power and for desalination to supply fresh water to the city (from Caspian). The current station is not considered powerful enough to supply the fresh water and energy needed at this time, and blackouts are a common occurrence.

I live in Carlsbad California and we are a prime example of Israeli desalination tech. The Israelis advised us and our plant was built on budget on time and provides not only water for our town, but we sell it inland to Escondido. Other seaside towns have been visiting to see our example but for example, Huntington Beach decided against desalination plant!!!

A lot of corrupt politicians in California are against of any solution to California's water crisis. California has the surplus of money to build and research infrastructure like this. The politicians is the in the way of "real solution". They want to keep the narrative of "water crisis". Having a crisis will keep them in power. They will let us think that they are doing something even though in reality they have not done any concrete long term solution for CA's water crisis. If Israel can use this type of technology, why can't California do this?

Greetings from Papua New Guinea (PNG), thank you God for allowing Israel Government in connection with my Government. The Israel AGRO Agriculture farm is currently based at 8 mile in the other suburb in my capital city,Port Moresby. We have our PNG Owned water company bases here, BUT water to the rural, village areas and even the city settlements in each provinces need a long term, consistence, better water services and I can see now that Israel Vision with supplying water is the best.Thank you God for leading the way for Israel to the world.

This has been an eye-opening video to watch. Thank you for sharing. Other nations could learn a great deal from the water endeavors of Israel, Spain, and Singapore... and they should all be paying attention. As rainfall patterns continue to shift, the issue of water will become more alarming, and eventually lead to international and interpersonal conflicts. Rather than paying to 'nudge' an asteroid out of its orbit (just to see if it can be done), we should be collectively investing in ways to make better use of the waters we have immediate access to (seawater, wastewater, etc). Again, thank you for covering this endeavor, and for posting it.

it's a video produced by an israelian agency or whatever, so obviously it's only reflecting positive aspects. if you do some more neutral research, you will find information that will open your eyes even more. Since the 6 days war in 1967 Israel occupies some of the areas that are the most important water sources in the region (golan heights for example, google it) and basically just steals or diverts almost all the water into the own country, leaving the neighbours with nothing. Israel has the money (thanks to western funding, at least in the money), to drill really really deep wells, drying out the wells of the simple people in the region. there are laws that move agricultural fields automatically into the possession of the state of israel, if it hasn't been watered for two years. obviously all to the disadvantage to e.g. the people from palestine

We need this technology for the southwestern US. We need to refill the great salt lake in Utah. This produces lake effect snow that packs the mountains in Utah, Wyoming and Colorado with snow. This snow pack provides water to Utah, Nevada, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, and Souther California. In total some 40 million people. We are currently in the worst drought this area has seen in 1,200 years. We would not even have to desalinate the water. Nature would do that for us. This video was amazing.

The US has actually done an amazing job or cutting down the water usage and waste recently. This would make it that much better. I saw desalinization in Qatar when I was there, and thought we should be doing it now, rather than waiting for more dire circumstances. I know it is a cost issue, but it seems like it would be so much better for everyone if we got out in front of the issue even more than we have done recently.

@@tyl8770 desalination isnt just a cost issue, but environmental, transport and energy issue too. israel is a tiny, coastal country with a pop of 9 mio - which is less than half of new york... and everyone is living less than 100 miles away from the ocean. they dont need 1000s of miles of pipelines to pump the water to the flyover states. secondly, the "waste" - again - small country, small problem. if you copy that 1:1 for the us, you will have a huge problem getting rid of the waste. and finally... a m³ of desalinated water needs over 15 times more energy to "produce" than "normal" methods (and thats with the newest technology.. older desalination plant have a factor of 100+). the usa uses around 322 billion gallons of water per DAY = 1.2 bn m³. desalination needs 3 kWh/m³ => 3.6 billion kWh per day*365 = 1 314 bn kWh needed per year. thats 33% of the total energy production of the usa in 2021... just to desalinate water.

I enjoyed the video, but I was hoping to see something about the desalination technology being used. Is it reverse osmosis or heat based (or both)? If heat based, do they use nuclear, fossil fuel, or maybe even reflected solar heating? What happens to the minerals in the salt water--are they pumped back into the sea or are they extracting and refining the various elements like magnesium, calcium, lithium, and potassium, or is there a plan to begin doing that? Maybe it's just me, but that's what I was hoping to learn. Nevertheless, I learned some things I didn't expect to learn and that was good too.

The peaceful community is known for erupting violence against others and often causes chaotic situations wherever they are present. Looking at the current terrain and Arab little brain, I seldom think they would survive as a stable nation without having clean water
