He engages in what is known as a "Gish Gallop" in which he attempts to overwhelm the interviewer by abandoning answering the question he's been asked and instead providing an excessive number of completely different arguments with no regard for the accuracy or strength of those arguments or their relevance to the question he's been asked. This technique is also known as Brandolini's law and frequently is referred to as "the bullshit asymmetry principle". That element of the technique also is referred to as spewing a firehose of falsehoods. So he's "sharp as a knife" only insofar as rather than providing honest and relevant answers he chooses to spew that firehose of falsehoods

@@mountkeen8701 it is logical that whoever created the world would also give the commandments that would produce the best results for his creation. We see the results produced by izlum, Hyndewizm has produced the cast system which allows for the violation of all kinds of human rights. Christ commands us to love God and love our neighbor as ourselves which has resulted in the most humane, most prosperous, most desirable places in the world. People actually flee from non-Christian nations and seek refuge in regions where the teachings of Christ are widely embraced for a reason: Christ makes life better for everyone. Please accept the best results; declare Jesus as your Lord, believe in your heart that God raised him from death and you will be saved (Romans 10:9).

@@mountkeen8701 I would say, logically speaking, it stands to reason that whichever God is intelligent and powerful enough to create a planet, and then populate that planet with human life would not doom certain humans to a life of abject poverty while others are lifted to a life of apathetic wealth as we see in the cast system. He would encourage us to love our neighbors as ourselves, to help the less fortunate so we can all experience the best existence possible. The true creator of a particular invention doesn't want his workmanship destroyed and decimated; he wants his workmanship to thrive and be the greatest benefit as possible. The cast system is the invention of a person who wants children in this world to suffer needlessly without hope of escape, not a wise creator.

@@refuse2bdcvd324 I asked you how you would demonstrate that your particular god “created the world” and not Hindu god, but instead you’ve made additional claims about your god. Let me ask you once again in simpler language. If your god “created the world”, what empirical ( that means based on, concerned with, or verifiable by observation or experience rather than theory or pure logic) evidence would you provide that would clearly show the existence or truth of that claim through that evidence. So, try again.

Thank you for the post Creation Research, this was excellent! Dr Mackay you answered the questions with the knowledge and grace, God has given you for the glory of his name. The reason why the opposing side does not want to answer the question, "if creation was true what would the evidence be?" is because they would have to admit, Design, DNA, etc points to special creation and not random chance.

There are ways of picking holes in Darwin’s Theory. News to me! But Evolution is no longer merely Darwin’s theory, it is the theory that underpins modern biology. We know an awful lot more than Science did in Darwin’s day and evidence for evolution has been gathered at an ever increasing rate. So far no evidence has seriously challenged it, though in theory a single fossil could bring it down.

In my experience as a once church goer the scriptures were read to us very selectively, leaving out the unpleasant stuff. And as for his claim that more and more scientists are accepting creationism is pure bullshit, these religious bigots make up their own “alternative facts”, you know, they LIE.

what does 'devolution' mean? a reduction in complexity? he's talking about evolution and implying natural selection
@ThePhilosophiser
@ThePhilosophiser Жыл бұрын
Yes devolution means a decline in the functional complexity of DNA. Natural selection like deliberate selection is a process of eliminating poor characteristics in DNA. Evolution is a term that has various meanings but at its core simply means change over time. When relating to the belief system of evolutionism it means defects in the DNA replication process that result in beneficial changes. So natural selection is about survival of the fittest but has nothing to do with explaining the arrival of the fittest.

It makes sense. For example, I've heard that rattlesnakes in my area might lose their rattles. I don't know if that's true, probably not, but even if they did, that's not evolution. They wouldn't have miraculously gained a new structure, they've lost one. To take such an example and claim that it somehow demonstrates Darwinian bottom-up evolution is nonsense. No one debates whether natural selection exists, but the fact is, random mutations can't do what you need them to do to write terabytes upon terabytes of intelligible informational code.
@sidarthur8706
@sidarthur8706 8 ай бұрын
@Pyr0Ben you don't inherit your physical characteristics, you inherit genes and it's those that gain information when something evolves. i don't know about rattlesnakes losing their tails. but when dinosaurs became birds they lost their teeth. this seems like a loss of information but it's actually due to more information having been added. birds still have the genes for growing teeth which is why birds sometimes grow teeth. they also have new genes that inactivate their tooth growing genes, more information resulted in the loss of a physical trait

THe idea that creation originally had only herbivorous animals. This is a weak deduction from a couple of Genesis verses. However the obvious design of carnivorous animals and the ecological concept of population control, ecology and trophic levels all state the obvious. One does need to check what is written in the scriptures against what is written in God's nature to verify what is true. Earlier fathers had to do this after the telescope was invented and the movement of the earth around the sun established.
