I am new at Paracord except for the basic cobra bracelet. Your video was the only one I found that was easy to understand. It was at the perfect angles to see clearly what you were doing. It doesn’t skip or skimp over any steps. The white background makes it much easier to see with no background distractions. I was able to make a beautiful collar for my dog on the first try. One thing that would have helped a lot would be to tell how many inches or feet of Paracord you need per inch of the finished dog collar. Such as 2 feet of Paracord per inch of the dog collar in the main/outer color and 6 inches of Paracord per inch of the dog collar for the accent/middle color. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR MAKING A GREAT VIDEO AND HELPING ME MAKE AN AWESOME DOG COLLAR!!!!
@cliftonrobbins36903 жыл бұрын
Sunny, did it end up being 2 ft per inch of the main/outer paracord and 6" per inch of the inner paracord or were you just using that as an example? Thanks

I used to have a golden retreiver named Brady. My older brother named him that because when he was around 5 years old he was a big Tom Brady fan. He passed away at the age of 13. He couldnt walk and he just got worse. We waited a little bit more than a week to see if he would heal and he just didnt. My older brother cut a piece of his hair off and kept his collar and my mom has his stuffed monkey he liked. But we got Brady for free. I remember my mom telling me about when they first got him. We got him in 2006 so i was pretty young. I was born in July of 2004. But she said that my brother sat down to play with all the puppies because a friend of ours had 2 adults that had puppies and they were selling them. All of the puppies had been color coordinated with collars and there were around ten, give or take, but they were all sold except for the one with a brown collar. So that dog with the brown color just crawls in my brothers lap and lays there. He just laid his head down and went to sleep. The sellers came out and told us that he was the only puppy that was still for sale and they saw that he picked us as owners and she let us have him for free and Hunter named him Brady. Brady hung out with mainly my mom but he liked everybody. He loved laser pointers and pink monkeys. But during Brady's last week with us my mom went to go see him almost everyday at the vet and would come home crying everytime. I tried not to cry but i couldnt. Me and brady were about a year apart with his birthday. My birthday is late july his was early august so i dont know the fact that he wasnt much younger than me made it sadde because i basically grew up with Brady and now that he's gone its kind of weird. Its almost as if my brother had died. But i can still tell it bothers my mom. Which shes been through a lot. Her sister died in a car wreck at the age of 16 and think she kinda saw some of Amanda in Brady. I dont know though something about how she coped with the loss of both of them is very similar. But it just doesnt feel real. But he died just like how we got im crawled in my brothers lap, they injected the medicine into his arm, and just layed his head down and went to sleep. And im sorry for such a large comment. I just had alot on my mind and just wanted to vent some. But i plan on making a collar for the golden retreiver that my mom wants. Dont think she'll get it but its getting more serious. So its gonna be Brady and Dallas. But im gonna make a paracord collar, leash and a little cross with a medal in the center where it says Dallas on one side and has Brady on the other with his birthday and date of the day he passed away.

As has already been commented on, all you videos are brilliant and very easy to follow for a beginner such as me. Can I ask that when calculating amount of cord for dog collars such as this one, I have worked out your ratio per cm/inch of weave from the figures you provided and x by length of collar required. Would that be correct as not sure due to it being a 6 strand core? Thank you for posting such great examples 👏🏻 ps checked for your Etsy shop but says unavailable???

This video is awesome! Thank you so much for making it, it’s given me the confidence to give it a try myself. Just one quick question, How do you know how much length you need of paracord , if I wanted to make an 18” collar what would my lengths be, is there a ratio or formula to follow?

Great collor for my dog, I ma a puppy version and now a Olive Green/Neon yellow version, I wanted a 3. Middle row in the yellow but I need a little more time to figure this out, I could make a 4 row, It was possible but its a little wide, I use this great 2 colour version so far, maybe for years... Its brilliant even for a American Collie with the head being the problem, the neck and head is not very different in size, theres alot of hair on the neck and front but small heair on the head, it has to be perfect or the dog can pull backwards and out of the collor.. made perfect for your dog and you get a brilliant collor, now in Olive Green/Neon Yellow and the look and details of the rows make it bright but the Olive Green just do a perfect mix of not to much not less... My puppy version is Olive Green, the adult version had to be a little different and I just love it, now I start on a very special leach...

Just get a piece of wood and if you have a table saw or circular saw just make two cut from each side in a straight line but don’t cut in half. If you have a old 2X4 cut two small pieces 2 inches wide. Buy some nuts and bolts and something to hold your hardware. You should be able to figure it out.
