Creative Approaches to Disaster Resilience

In June 2019, the City of Vancouver’s Office of Resilience partnered with Arts House Melbourne, Resilient Melbourne and 312 Main, to host 70 artists, story-tellers, knowledge holders, scientists and resilience practitioners at a Creative Lab aimed at sharing and generating new knowledge and approaches to disaster resilience through the arts. This short video captures the 2 day event, and observations and ideas from participants. We wish to express gratitude and acknowledgement that this event took place on the unceded traditional territories of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh Nations. The event was made possible through the generous support of Evergreen Canada, 100 Resilient Cities, 312 Main and Arts House Melbourne.
