This is the God's word, Deuteronomy 5: 12-15: "Observe the sabbath day, to keep it holy, as Jehovah thy God commanded thee. Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work; but the seventh day is a sabbath unto Jehovah thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy man-servant, nor thy maid-servant, nor thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any of thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates; that thy man-servant and thy maid-servant may rest as well as thou. And thou shalt remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and Jehovah thy God brought thee out thence by a mighty hand and by an outstretched arm: therefore Jehovah thy God commanded thee to keep the sabbath day." (ASV) You ain't just doing something. You're following the God's commandment. Genesis 2: 1-3: "And the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God finished his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and hallowed it; because that in it he rested from all his work which God had created and made." (ASV) The rest is blessed by the God. The problem is Devil runs the world. He is lier and murderer. This is the reason why deception and violence are everywhere. This is the reason why liers and murderers feel good while righteous persons are persecuted. This is the reason why Hitler got the power, but Christ was executed as "blasphemer" and "rioter" by denunciation of clergy. This is the reason why the whole world is Sodom. That's why we've got the Gospel about the God's kingdom. Jehovah would put everything in order. The dead will be resurected and we'll meet our loved ones again! :-)

I agree with this. I became a widow when I was 62 and decided to move back to Australia to be with my granddaughter and daughter. I was grieving but caring for my 3 year old granddaughter gave me a purpose in life and I felt freedom to live my life as I wished. In 2012 I met a man online, and we have been partners in life and love since. We dont live together but spend several days per week together. We have a loving and supportive relationships. Today we sat in the park, enjoying the sunshine and the trees around us, there was even a new Gymea flowering which we’ll watch its’ progress over the year. I think that maintaining a healthy lifestyle is very important, keep moving and eat well. I still cook and exercise 3 x times weekly at the gym . wth kettlebells. AT 82 I feel contented with my life - as the motto goes: “Have someone to love, someone who loves you, something to do every day or be responsible for and take care of yourself.”. Do it feel the same as when women get divorced? Although I know it's different because he didn't hurt you or leave you intentionally. But the time spent being a wife I heard is not the same when you're single. In your situation it's different of course but do you feel more alive and free??? Very satisfying especially in retirement. What retirement! Dr Gladys does not talk about her faith. If she were a Christian, she would. That is a concern. Where will she spend eternity? With God or without God. We are eternal beings. Without God is called hell. With God, she needs an entrance ticket. His name is Jesus. No one is perfect. We all sinned. Jesus paid the penalty for our sins. Is there any other religious leader that did that? Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father but by him. A quote from the Bible. She reminds me of my great-aunt, who lived to 104. Another amazing woman with an amazing mind and attitude towards life. She didn't get to study past middle school but if she had been given the opportunity, I wonder how much more impact she would have had. She volunteered at a children's hospital, she had her own small business for a while, and she could crochet like no one. She crocheted my son's baby blanket when she was 99. Tía Chela, you would have been 110 this year. We miss you!

Interesting perspective. After seventy plus years and having lost two wives to disease, I consistently ask myself why, of all people, am i still here? What Gladys said to me is "I am not thinking about my life correctly." As a septuagenarian I can continue on without fear, or blame, revel in the shared memories of my life and of those who I shared the experience, and as Gladys advises spread that light we find on our individual paths. I was especially moved by the challenges she meet by being unafraid. World War Two she said had considerable bad news for everyone. She learned she was not alone and was able to deal with the fear in that knowledge. We are all afraid at certain points in time. Gladys's fear of hunger resonated with me the most. If you are hungry, though no fault of your own, you just keep looking for the "light." That may sound a bit non-specific, but I understood what she was trying to say. We are not hungry alone. We learn to share and make the best of our common experience. There were other nuggets of advice I took from Gladys's perspective, so I saved a copy of this video to reference from time to time. I am not confident my life would last anywhere near one hundred years and that is not my goal. All I ask is to depart this world with the peace of mind that my life was worth the journey and somewhere, I was able benefit my fellow travelers with what I had learned.

Well maybe? but maybe not. Look at Dr. Gladys. I think setting goals mentally and physically, keeping mentally and physically active and having that wonderful positive attitude that life is amazing is what will keep a person going.

Sprouht, you looked shocked that Gladys' husband found new love at 70. My mother got married again at 79! They were both widowed, had known each other for 25 years😅 but were married to others. They were adorable and so happy together! I see many who don't want another relationship. There are still people that do. And when it's unexpected, it's like one of those pleasant surprises in life that just happen. In one of your interviews, a woman said, and I'm paraphrasing, don't pay attention to lifes expiration date! I love that! The above is a great example. Love your vids. Always thought-provoking 👍💞

I took it that he was more surprised that he left her at that age . That he gave her up to find someone else at that point in their lives together. That’s what I got from it. I could be wrong. But yes, I do believe you can find love at any age. I just don’t think that’s what he was really surprised about.

The shock was probably leaving your wife of 46 years and 6 kids for another woman. It's not hard to believe you can fall in love at any age.

I was just as incredulous that a man of that age would throw away stable family life for some other rando. It's one thing if you feel that life would be better alone but to leave behind stability to start over with someone else is a young fool's game...

The sister of my grandpa made it to age 101. She never married, had no kids, ate a diet consisting of coffee, cookies, veggies soup and fried meat. She was skinny as a bird and walked everywhere. A man who worked for a distant relative made it to age 114. He started working for the family when he was 14, expend his day running errands in the household and ate a simply diet of Mexican food. He only died because he caught a bad cold during a storm ☔️ So yes… simple eating and basic exercise/having stuff to do goes far 😊
