Creative Aurvana Ace 2 Review: One of the BEST SOUNDING Earbuds We’ve Tested!

I own the Ace 2's. Agree with everything regarding the sound quality. AMAZING. I'm an audiophile and my phone supports Apt-X lossless and all of my audio files are FLAC and stored on my phone's internal storage. Streaming services offer awful bitrates and I don't waste my time with them. Can't go wrong with the Aurvana Ace 2's. Worth every penny!

2 questions if you don't mind me asking. 1. How good is the ambient mode? I want to use this in the office, but I also still need to hear if people are talking to me. 2. What phone do you use? I feel like the flagship Samsung devices have terrible BT codecs.

@@TheQuickyouknow you're right. Samsung has terrible codec support. No apt-X whatsoever which kind of makes these Aurvana's pointless if you don't have a phone that supports apt-X adaptive/lossless. I use a Nothing Phone 2, which supports every codec under the sun. I think the ambient mode is pretty good. But the ANC is only average.

@@xphyle thanks! Is it just basic ambient mode or does it have an option to lower super loud sounds? My Bose QC Ultras have adaptive ambient, but they're too big for office use.

Got them for 80 bucks used like new, applied a W-Shape EQ through the app, good to go. The ANC and microphones are a little buggy, maybe they'll improve with software update.

Would be good to hear the mic quality in samples - and you didn't mention transparency...or did I miss it?. Working from home and using buds, mic and transparency are key factors.

I got them and They are very transparent SQ earbuds. They do have a Simuler Sound quality to the Senhiser HD650 headphnes but a lil bit more bass heavy

Very interested in the sound, but they look extremely cheap to me - if they had at least used an actual metal interior or the like it would help it a lot I think.

This is an over hyped pair of earbuds. A lot of money was likely spent to market this trash. It sounds pretty average. The clarity in the sound is clearly lacking (pun intended). There is a nasty ass high frequency roll off. So much for hearing what you've been missing. The missing details are typically higher frequency sounds. With such a nasty roll off at the top end, you are not actually hearing the finer nuances. Like with other Creative products this is an absolute waste of cash. I ended up returning it. I would go for a more established brand in the earbud segment.
