I have the XM5s. In general, they have good sound and good features. However, the longer you have the product, the more issues it develops. You'll notice more drops, for no reason they'll just disconnect for a few seconds or they will just disconnect all together and you have to put them back in the case and take out just to turn them on. Now, my right earbud will decide not to work. Nothing I do can get it to work, I just have to put it away for 15min then it may decide to work. Plus all the charging issues. I hate putting them away and not having an earbud charge. While the Sony's are good on the surface, they are the least stable earbud long term I've ever had. Link S and 2x XM5's in 3 years. I think I need to go back to Jabra.

I’m looking for open ear headphones. I can no longer wear in ears. I have fluid build up in the ear. I got Shokz open fit 2 and they were terrible (for me). The speaker part rides above my ear canal and it has insane sound leakage. To get a decent sound I had to hold the headphone down. I just want something that goes over the ear canal and not in it, while staying on for exercise. The clip ons might be my ticket. Bose ultra open look nice but have terrible call quality. I dunno ….Help!

Looking forward to your review. Up until last week I've been on the fence between purchasing the HD 490 Pro or the R70x. So curious to see how the latter's successor compares. On a separate note, you're one of the few that have made comments and comparisons to either model. The majority of reviews seem to size up the 490s to the 600 series but I feel the target purpose and similar pricing between the 490 and the R70x(a) make a better comparison.

I hope either the sound quality gets better (also on XL), or more manufactures will start doing replaceable batteries. Hell, I might even switch back to headphones jack. After using Airpods Pro for past few years, the low battery sound is giving me anger issues. And tbh, I had RMA ones I had before, not even a year in, and now again, not even 6 months in. Not sure if just my luck, or quality is going to shit (and yes, after 6 months, battery is holding battery as much as puppy can hold pee).

Fits my left ear fine, hurts the hell out of my right ear. 😢

I think another upside to open earbuds is that because they're not in the ear canal, they don't block earwax. Traditional earbuds cause earwax buildup because they're pushed into the ear canal. There's less of a risk for ear infections, so they can be more hygienic. I think a few brands highlight this, such as Cleer Audio, with their ARC 3 open earbuds having a case with a UV sterilization feature.

I use buds 2 for call of duty mobile and they are flawless.

I have the charge 5 wifi. I really like the bass for the size but I hate that it’s rather bass forward. I like how my flip 6 sounds more balanced. But the problem is that the bass is to weak for my liking on the flip 6. The charge 5 wifi does have a more bass heavy tuning which I feel like affects the clarity a little. I feel that my flip 6 definitely offers better clarity for the size of the speaker. JBL even basically admits the flip 6 has a little bit better balanced sound. The 7 band eq on the charge 5 wifi is nice vs the flip 6 and original change 5’s 3 band eq.
