In 2002 I was in a band and our bass player got us all tickets to see coldplay live at birmingham NIA. A sudden rush of blood has just been released and it was just before (a matter of weeks) coldplay exploded into one of the worlds biggest bands. I remember looking around and the place was not really packed or full. The supporting act was The Idlewild. This band was superb. They played a modern way of letting go and Rod Jones absolutely brought the house down. Amazing guitar player, one of many great guitarists of the alternative rock scene. Unfortunately coldplay and idlewild became huge and it was not possible to see them with a small audience again. I just remember Rod Jones jumping around the stage and thundering his guitar sound to us all..superb!

that moment when people get older and know all the lyrics to songs by bands they have apparently never heard of...

The mixing room is not acoustically treated. How does that work? I mean, not a single acoustic panel or a bass trap. Am I missing something here?

Any takers on how audio reflection is controlled in the control room?
@jeanmusic19926 жыл бұрын
I was about to ask the same thing. I don't see any acoustic treatment
@siile14326 жыл бұрын
Even if the walls were actually cloth with acoustic treatment behind them (really hope so) the acoustic balance of the room is completely ruined by the giant fridges of rack gear on the left. Worst place to put that thing. The left ear is getting so many early reflections it's insane.

Whats the bit of equipment mentioned at 14:00? Cant quite hear the name of it.
What is this portion of your channel exactly I know you make kontakt instruments but what is this exactly? It reminds me of a TV show of some sort like a documentary

The segment is called Creative Cribs. .Just like that.

Interesting stuff - I wonder about the acoustics in the control/mixing room. The room itself looks squared and I wonder if that is a plastered wall or is it made from fabric? Also the floor seems very smooth (casting) i.e. not absorbing but reflecting acoustics. Thoughts anyone?
