Creative Distractions

I love those little bags, especially the leather tag. It’s pretty cute. They are all good sized bags, perfect for just about anything. I made myself quite a few for my own use, and I do use them. If I can’t get to my sewing room for several days, I feel so depressed and I’m snapping and grouching at my husband, because, after all, he’s the reason that I have to cook and do so much laundry. That crap eats into my sewing time. I sew for my mental Heath, when I was too sick to sew, I was so antsy, and let me tell you, a little retail therapy, mainly fabric, fixes that right up. So yeah, I think creativity is very important in our lives, especially if you are already creative. It helps for kids to have creative time, also. My oldest daughter is a prime example of this. Hey Sue, those leather tags are really cute. They are a useful size. I agree chores eat into sewing time. I am liking having my sewing area so close to me. I am really lucky my sister brought stuff upstairs so I can work on whatever suits my fancy. Otherwise I may have been painting murals on the walls😂 in marker. Totally agree children need to be creative as well. I was lucky we still had art in school when I was young way back when😂❤

Super cute bags Shari! I love Mari’s leather labels. I really need to have a look at those on her website. I’ve never thought of myself as someone who is creative. I’m a maker. I love following other people’s designs and patterns and really don’t love creating something from scratch. But I do NEED to be using my hands to make things as often as possible. It does wonders for my mental health as well because when you’re sewing (or crafting in general), you can’t worry about that work meeting, or email, or problem employee 🤣 You just make! It’s amazing! 💞

Thanks Izzy❤️ I think you are a creative person. I think as soon as you pick a fabric or a color to go with the handpicked pattern you are making. That is all part of the creative process far as I am concerned. There is a saying "get out of your head and into your hands." You are so right😊
