great job. but considering the copyrights, are you allowed to do such a clip to promote your activity and then potentially reach clients over these copyrighted movies and musics? Not trying to start any argument, i'm launching my activity and don't know all the rules yet. Thanks for answering !

Thanks for your comment, I get your point; I’ve been a promo editor for the last 10 years now, and whilst there is a playlist that showcases my past “work” - this is a montage promoting my skillsets as an editor, which is essentially taking pre-existing clips and cutting it together making some entirely different coherent story. It’s hard for an editor to showcase their work as a “showreel” I guess because none of what’s shot or written is made by the editor but rather the editor makes a story with what they have. Not sure how else to explain it but I hope this clears it up for you! Happy to help! 😃
