Hello Ray. Have used some of your ideas and instruction on how to shoot macro, and setting up shots of flowers. TODAY, I shot some images that have me going over the moon. Thank you. Thank you. You are such a God send to me.

Thank you so very much William. I’m really happy that you shot some great images. FYI... I also have a channel dedicated solely to macro photography called MacroWorld. Hope you have a wonderful week.

I love your videos. New to macro, I am eager to learn and you are a good teacher. Your challenge to see things differently is just the kind of thing I needed. It's amazing once applied. And I love photos of flowers and what is hidden inside.

Hi William. Thanks so much for your kind words. While there are several macro photography videos on this channel you may also be interested in knowing that I’ve just started a new channel called MacroWorld that you may want to check out. Hope to see you there too. Have a great weekend William.

Excellent video, beautiful images that you have created. Photoshop is a interesting program with so much to learn, there are endless options to bring a photo to your design and desires. Thank you for a very informative video.

Excellent - thank you for showing your set-up, too, as, for me at least, I don't have any external lighting except a single flash on a short wire. I am a botanist and I love pictures of the varying internal parts of the flower (stamens, pistils, etc) which vary enormously between species (far more than the petals do) - I would love it if here, or on Macro World, if you'd do a tutorial on capturing those..... maybe start with a Lily then move onto a big Aster/Daisy cut in half (to show the individual florets). You have such a great way of looking more creatively at possible images, far more so than us mere mortals ;-)

I like the way you think. I love the inside of flowers too. Have a great weekend.

Nice tip re Topaz, certainly a road to a wider choice - do you print your own by the way or send off? Keep well and thanks again for another great video - now off to your macro site:-}

Hey there. Thanks so much. I do my own printing with an Epson Stylus Photo r3000. An older model that still produces first class prints. Take care and enjoy the day. And by the way, thanks for also joining me at MacroWorld. It is really appreciated.

Great tip Ray, I want to see if I can do something similar with the 29 “empty” bottles of liquor my mother in law left. LOL

These are great videos to watch and admire the creativity. But honestly, Topaz, Lightroom and/or Photoshop, a printer plus this set up -$$$- is more for the pro or semipro who would create and sell these images that are really fine art prints.

Hey there. I do get where you are coming from which is why most of my tutorials are about what you can do in-camera without needing too much software etc. Since everybody has a different budget and financial structure it’s really hard to know what people can and cannot afford. I will say that I do know many photographers who are strictly amateur but still have all the gear and software programs a pro would use so it always comes back to the same thing for me...everybody’s in a different situation and it is that situation that will dictate what is “right” for them. Anyway, thanks so much for the very kind comment and for taking the time to watch and respond. I wish you a great week.
