We're doing it again! This weekend...
First of all, I can not thank you enough for all of your support throughout the past 2 years... This was a fun new concept I approached Special Olympics about nearly 5 years ago, and it has all been slowly coming together ever since…
Every single person, family, and business who has ever donated to support this project is listed on our website, nearly 200 total:
fatbikeflippola...
After raising the very first $10,000 for my first bike jump plunge in 2018, I quickly learned that pedaling through the snow on a fat tire bike, launching off a 6 foot tall ramp, and backflipping into a frozen lake, is a bit easier than I imagined… It was actually the fundraising that was the real challenge… One of the most challenging goals I have ever set for myself. And none of it would have been possible without you... Fast forward into 2019, I started our very own Ride MN Action Sports Plunge Team, where I brought on additional plungers to help support this brand new concept. We have now raised a grand total of more than $15,000 for Special Olympics Athletes since 2018. And this year, our 3rd year, 2020, we have even more plungers on our team, and we hope to hit a grand total of $20,000. We are not far away, already at the $17,500 mark as we get into this final week before our plunge again in Minneapolis.
I also want to remind you that no matter what, you are always with me on my team… Since our very first plunge together, I have been hand writing every person’s name who has donated onto a new plunge shirt every year... After you & I both go plunging into that ice cold water together as a team, the shirt is framed on my office wall where I work every day. I can’t thank you enough for being a part of this unique experience together with me.
If you absolutely love what we are doing, and are considering making a donation again, please read this below from Special Olympics about how funds are used:
$30 - Puts a child through an 8-week Special Olympics Minnesota Young Athletes season
$60 - Provides an eye examination and a pair of glasses for two Special Olympics Minnesota athletes
$100 - Sends a Unified Pair to ALPs University - Special Olympics Minnesota's athlete leadership program
$250 - Implements an entire Respect Campaign into a school/business/organization
$500 - Provides funding to start a brand new Special Olympics Minnesota Delegation
If you’d like to help support me again this season, you can reach my donation page below:

And if you’d like to help support our entire team, including the brand new individuals who have committed to diving right into this bone-chilling experience along my side, everyone is listed right here in the link below... Feel free to split up your donation to help motivate, excite, and encourage even more fundraising from each of our team members:

And please, if you have not in the past, please read below to learn more about our story in general...
In January of 2011, only a few of us walked alone into a very small and completely empty warehouse space in Northeast Minneapolis with one idea in mind, to simply ride our bikes together in our own hobby facility at the convenience of our own time, family, and work schedules. Over the years this turned into a movement that has become absolutely infectious… Families, kids, and riders of all ages. We ride. We learn. We build. We fall. We encourage. We motivate. We get back up. We focus. We try again. We work together. We perform. We innovate. We’re not scared to try something new & we never give up. We’ve created lifelong friendships, and lifelong memories. The goals, the achievements, the experiences, and the opportunities that have evolved around riding bikes have changed our lives and will live with us forever. Today, our number one goal is to profoundly reach every child and adult we work with on an emotional and mental level with an energetic, jaw dropping, influential and inspirational message that will change lives and kickstart motivation for a lifetime… Words will never describe how grateful we are for your continued support. To every person who has ever contributed & supported us over the years in any way possible, Thank You. This is an unexpected Dream Come True.
Thanks again so much, and please reach out if you have any questions. My cell is 952-200-7732, feel free to call or text any time. Cheers to 2020!
Thanks so much,
