you could use your vasline on the inside of the drawer before you start and that will help it to not stick. You did it correct to get the look you are going for. It looks great.

I made the switch to Debi's DIY paint and never looked back. It is AMAZING! You just have to play with it a little bit to learn how awesome it is, but it is definitely the best on the market. The pigment and layering is like no other paints I have used. You don't have to use the Vaseline anymore either. You can literally wipe the paint off if you don't seal it. It's awesome for no sanding dust! But, I have to say the liquid patina will make you LOVE, LOVE, LOVE decoupage projects! Love your projects! Thank you for all your inspiration!

Thank you for letting me know that. I have been thinking of doing an order for some paint and the patina. I love the paint samples I have gotten so far. Guess it's time to up my game. lol I am so glad you are enjoying my channel. 💕

@@RepurposedMyWay I used to use Waverly, Rustoleum, Dixie belle paint, etc. But, none of them compare to Debi's paint. I love how not a drop goes to waste. It can always be reactivated with water if it hasn't been sealed. I have left some in small container and it dried to a chunk. I just added some distilled water to it and let it sit for a day or two and it was like brand new. But, what is even cooler is if you want to layer it, you don't see it as much unsealed, but when you seal it you can see all the layers. I will say though I had to learn how to use it and I am still learning, because it is so different than anything out on the market. After a bunch of research, I realized alot of brands are not actually chalk paint, but more chalk acrylic or chalk/primer/top coat mixed together. That is why alot of them don't need to technically be sealed after they set for so many days. But, what turned me on to Debi's paint was if I don't want to sand I can use a wet towel to wipe back the paint as long as it hasn't been sealed. The making powders are SOOOOO MUCH FUN!! You definitely have to check them out to! When you actually compare prices of paint, Debi's is a great price also. If you want texture you just paint with it. If you want it smooth, you use lots of water with it. The only decoupage medium I have found comparable to the liquid patina is Liquitex matte medium. I never use mod Podge anymore except for fabric or certain projects where I need to soak something. My one tip though I found out is when sealing DIY paint, use a soft brush or don't apply alot of pressure or you will move the paint. It does this weird thing when you seal it, called the freak out factor, it dries weird for a little while and you will think it's uneven, but after letting it set it turns out BEAUTIFUL back to the color in the jar.

All of them were really nice. So as a fellow prim crafter, I have a few questions if that's ok. I had a booth and downsized to shelves. Family reasons. But have since walked away from that. My shelves just weren't selling primitives very well. I do have an Etsy shop and sell mainly prim dolls. I've really wanted to branch out especially with all the wonderful IOD transfers, molds and stamps. Can you tell me how that is working out for you financially, meaning are your items that aren't so prim selling as well? Sometimes we crafters feel like buyers put us in a box and can't venture out from that type of style. So I'm just trying to figure out if moving away from prims a bit (still do them) will be ok or not. Could you tell me how you did that? Sorry for the 20 questions. The box was my favorite. Loved the colors and how beautiful it turned out. The rolling pin was very unique as well. The sconces were lovely. Love that paper. You have really encouraged me to step out from the primitive style and not stay boxed in. Thank you for sharing your talent. Hugs and God bless.

All great questions. Primitive sells well in my area. I do really well with them in my booth. I had a booth about 5 years ago and had to shut it down for health reasons. I couldn't keep up with sales and filling my booth. I have since made changes and added thrifted items (that I don't have to do anything to) that would go well with my decor in my booth. It has helped tremendously in keeping up. I don't tend to do a lot of holiday decor. It doesn't sell well for me, but people sure do love the crow decor and black distressed. When you have a booth there are all kinds of people with different decor tastes that walk through. I try to appeal to as many as I can, while staying close to my own likes. I start small, by adding other decor like a few farmhouse pieces and see what happens. When I first started my booth I had several small % off sales to get people looking. It's a guessing game most of the time for me. Some things that I think will sell fast take a little more time and vise versa for other stuff. I hope I answered your questions. Good luck and keep me posted on how you are doing.

I love the picture on like that, I am thinking that if you used Vaseline on the inside edges of the drawers, it would have stopped the glue working. The tiny handles are perfect!
