Hi Mary Ellen. I was watching this video AGAIN (I love it so much) while I was going through some of my scrapbooking supplies to use in my “first ever” journal. I couldn’t believe what I found….a deck of cards titled “Go Ask Your Mother”. They are to spark conversations with your mother but I thought how great it would be to draw one card a week and answer the question myself in my journal. Example “Tell me about one defining moment” or “if stranded on an island, what 3 things would you want with you?” Just thought I’d share this idea with you because I really struggle with what to say but after watching your videos I realize it is a healthy and fun activity.

I loved this. The part where you run out of room for BREATHE was SO relatable. I love that you just roll with your mistakes and sometimes it isn't perfect. Sometimes watching planner videos their spreads look like something that belongs in the MOMA and that's awesome and inspiring, but I'm not that talented so when I make mistakes it feels like a failure. Basically it's nice that sometimes it's NOT perfect, but unless someone watches the video they would never know it was a mistake or unintentional.

I love how you used the colored pencils to customize the look of your spread. That adds so many more possibilities! I use a bullet journal as my planner because I like to change up my spread week to week. I know that may be tedious for some people, but it works for me!

What thick highlighters do you use ?

"Like" "sort of" and "kind of" are all filler words people will use when we are feeling nervous, or don't like awkward silences. I say those words a lot too, so to be consciously aware of it and actively trying to not use those words will teach us to be okay with the awkward silences.
