I love forestry because you can expand it so wonderfully with trees. Another tip would be to build the extraction buildings on a four-lane road and then convert all roads back to two lanes - preferably gravel roads to create the look. You can place fences and trees in front of the tree fields, build a small piece of gravel path as an entrance, or build a small, generic industrial building. Generic forestry also looks best. The low-income neighborhood looks great too, I think I'll steal it - I have the perfect place for it. Unfortunately, I'll just have to wait until every building develops in this style. This will take some time... 😂 I noticed something about the aprons. If there is an apron under the road, you can't place any bus, trolleybus or tramstops there. It's a shame that the aprons don't always work.

Beautiful forestry! Interesting to see how you contained all traffic inside the area instead of all trucks using the bigger arterial. Definitely gonna try that out! But you've got to share your visual setup! The shadows are so soft yet everything looks so bright. I'm guessing Relight/Daylight Classic in some magic mix, but i can never shake that gloomy, foggy, hazy visuals i get. How do you do it, cap? Great work as always!

Great video! I was just wondering, why do you use gravel roads even though you're rich enough to upgrade?

Its also possible to use industrial roads for the production buildings. While the extraction areas can be with gravel roads. Gravel roads also reduce vehicle speeds so there's also slightly less traffic.

Are you using extra extractor forrests as cosmetic or should i actually think about using alot more extrator stuff in my industry areas? I usually dont have any issues with not enough resources i was just wondering because it looks like you used alot more forest than i use for my forestry. As always wonderful build and i cant thank you enough for sharing your skill with this game ive been playing for quite a while and im still learning how everything functions im so glad for videos like yours because this game has so much depth to it i probably wouldve never figured out these tips and tricks to be a better city builder so thank you :-)

The more extractors you have, the less likely the need to import, that's why I have zero imports. If I have too much extracted raw resource, they will be delivered to the forestry storage facilities set as fill and will only be used when needed.

Why do you want to eliminate import though? Extractors are a waste

What timeline of the video did I mention eliminating import? In any case, in general, when you import, not only does it cost you to import the goods, but its additional traffic going into your city. So if you eliminate import completely, all your industry traffic is just exporting out the city earning you income and its also less traffic coming in.
