Excellent. This looks very similar to the techniques used by AstroEd on his channel, but he uses layer masks instead of blend modes.

Damn bro…that beard is getting long. You got my record beard beat. And btw, thanks for reminding me of this technique. I’ve been so caught up in routine rgb mapping with Hubble pallet. I remember seeing this idea somewhere before and never tried it. Now I want to.

Hi, random question from a fellow Comet Hunter owner. Is the adjuster screw for secondary mirror height a Phillips head as stated in the manual or a grub screw with an Allen head? That is the adjuster screw under the slotted screw for preventing rotation. I'm just trying to find out if mine has been tampered with as it is second hand.

Hi Martin, been a while since I’ve owned the Mark Newt and going off memory I’m not sure. If I were to take a guess at it I’d say mine was a Phillips.

@@mryellowres I think at some point we all experience that urge to upgrade. I sold it to fund the 8” OOUK Newtonian I now own. I love the new scope but it’s not a whole lot different from the Mak Newt. Live and learn I guess, lol!
