Creative Process: Techno Track Sketch From Scratch in 30min DAWless | Live Music Production Workflow

This is a video of my live electronic music production workflow. It is unedited and unprocessed. The track begins with nothing sequenced or recorded, and no loops (other than one atmosphere loop and one 'vocal' hit). It's a bit messy, but creating art often is. I wanted to show how I improvise in a DAWless live setup using Elektron Octatrack, Digitakt, Digitone, Analog Four, and Analog Rytm.

Nice and interesting. I spend 30 minutes alone for designing the kick in the rytm =D And that doesnt mean that this thing sounds better than yours. Its just too much fun to fiddle with sounds in the rytm.

In a set up like this, do you treat the A4 and RTYM as additional colors (kicks, melodies, snares, claps etc) in your pallette (newest video reference)? Would you then mix and match with the DT and DN and blend/mangle with the OT (reference: ezbot template setup you have in a newer video)?

Yes completely. The A4 is an analog version of what the Digitone is. 4 synths in one box that are each sequenced separately. Rytm is 12 sounds per kit compared to the Digitakt 8. They are both permanently connected in my studio for exactly that. Thanks for watching!!

@@SURCOlive Thank you! Ultimately, you could probably run these devices through eachother ad infinitum as long as you have enough free audio channels running through each box. The pallette gets wider and taller.
